1.5 Harvest is down, 2.5 and 3.5 is up slightly. I hate to play the cut and paste game but here were some important points from the DEC plan. Data from the pilot program indicate that harvest of yearling bucks has declined about 80%, consistent with the program’s goal (Hurst and Kautz 2011). The average number of 2.5+ year old bucks in the harvest has increased 53%, and in 2009-2010, approximately 85% of adult bucks taken in the pilot units were 2.5 years old or older. A majority of hunters reported being dissatisfied and having unmet expectations regarding: (1) the number of antlered bucks compared to antlerless deer seen, (2) the number of older, larger-antlered bucks seen, and (3) their opportunity to shoot larger-antlered bucks. A majority of hunters were also dissatisfied with the number of older bucks compared to the number of young bucks seen, and significantly more hunters reported being dissatisfied than satisfied with their freedom to choose which buck they could harvest. Nonetheless, most hunters continued to express support for maintaining the mandatory program and reported that their experience in the pilot program has made them more likely to voluntarily pass up shots at small bucks in places without mandatory antler restrictions

Where I come from we call it "still hunting", stalking is something you do when you see something and try to get closer. Whatever you call it, its all hunting. Personally I feel that tree stands do make it alot easier, especially for bow hunting but I still am going to use them from time to time.

AR's don't do a whole lot, it helps spare the 1.5's and then they are slaughtered at 2.5. There is not much increase in the 3.5 and up take. Time will tell what the DEC decides to do, my letter was sent aswell.

Here's another news flash....NY takes every ones picture when you go through the tolls, whether you take the toll ticket or use the ez pass its the same. So the next time you are on your way through the tolls, smile and wave. I know vjp, clearly they are taking our freedom to not pay for tolls away from us.

I don't think his opinions make him have a mental disorder but I do think the fact that he went posting like a mad man all night and day because he got called out for his various "sources" makes him a little off. But then again I know you agree with every single thing the guy has ever posted like its the gospel. Nice, we did our garage doors a couple of years ago, we too had the very heavy wood type. I don't miss those things, haha, took my brother and I a few hours to remove the old and put up the new ones. I need one of them openers, the ones we have squeak like hell when in motion..lol

As far as a cause of it? No. There might some other type of link like a characture acting like he has a form of autism. Autism's cause's aren't really clear other than genetic's. The type my son has affects a very small number of kids and mystify's many who try to figure out why. Simply put his brain works different than ours and he is real smart already..lol

I do think that the guy in that video most deffinitely left some DNA evidence behind to compare it to. and yes I intend a pun when I say things like Left and Behind...

Basically what I'm getting at here is, if we can't fight tech then maybe we can use it to help us out in the long run?

So Cub scouts, if the kid doesnt have a outdoor family would help. This is one of those topics that I never have considered simply because it hasn't been an issue in our family. I hunt because my dad does and so on. Lucky I guess. Also, if the kid is watching TV, maybe tune in the outdoor program instead of Sponge Bob and actually take the time to explain it to the kid and then take them out to see what they saw on TV.

Thats why I kept my email short and sweet and to the point. I would assume some one some where is reading them.
