She’s most likely not going to get better unless you know what you are doing. Never shoot near a bird dog unless it’s on a bird starting out. If you have access to training birds start there in a controlled environment and see how it goes. Plant a bird bring the dog up on a lead, if she points great if not flush the bird and have someone pop a cap at a distance. You can gradually get closer if it’s going well and then restart with a 20 gage. It could take hundreds of birds. Not dissing you, but improper exposer to guns ruins a dog and it can be a one way street unless you have experience, patience and time.

Hunted Richmondville today with my son and brother. It was 1* when we started in, spotted 7 doe on the next mountain and went off in pursuit. Many many miles today but my son got to experience still hunting and tracking and missing all in one day. Caught two different groups bedded and stalked in on both which was extremely hard with 10 plus bedded all over. First group my son got in on, the gun didn’t go off due to a cap that wasn’t seated well. Second group he got to @60 yards and missed clean. Awesome day and I am happy we got to do it together. When we finally hit the truck I had him shoot the gun so he couldn’t say it was off. Lol. Iron sights ain’t for everyone but he sure like MY gun, that means I’ll buy a new one. Saw in the ballpark of 20+, all does. One more day for me.

Tick borne illness is a bigger threat to animal and man than coyote's are. Yotes have done very well in city landscapes for a long, long time. People don't even know they are there.

Highly likely to be a dump site from one of the contracted deer picker uppers as others have mentioned, its not far from 87. I'd bet that is the least disgusting thing found at that boat launch, once while fishing with SalmonRun I watched a woman pop a squat in a parking lot while talking to her parents who were there. I was there all alone with the boat while he and another guy went back to get the other truck w/trailer. Its not like I was invisible, who does that? All that was after the scene at the other boat launch of a crew of locals swimming, they were plus sized and missing many teeth.
