    Was this the same scoundrel that was paying kids to shovel his parking spot? I'm betting it was a warrant for a failed appearance for a drug violation. Not bad for making it up huh!!!

    There are a lot of factors on why a plot or bait would or wouldn't work but I agree the end goal is the same, to feed and keep deer in an area. We'll see what a plot does in my area next year when I give it a shot.

    Even if you open it up the shear ruggedness of the area and of logging roads would keep folks away. Maine is proof of that. I found a giant chunk of a main logging road that washed out last summer that was barely marked, I wasn’t in the general lee so I stomped on the breaks. No cell service, no gas station, no Uber, no one to help you. That keeps people away. None of this matters, it ain’t ever gonna be opened up.

    Check the calendar before you go, next Sunday is the 10th which it the last day of gun season. The last weekend is 12/16-17. Plus I need to know when to hide from you so I don't get caught trespassing.

    Most likely they won't write a ticket unless you are up to no good. They use their discretion and investigative skills to figure it out.

    Actually there a few zones in the north you cannot bow hunt during the late season.

    Personally I don’t need or want anything hunting related aside from a few things for reloading. That or I want a new rifle or two, lol.

    We go through lots of those bags and generally speaking you can find them much cheaper through a different brand. On Amazon maybe? I don’t remember but I do remember it being a way better deal and we get them with one end sealed already.

    That's right and when coupled with a set of carbon fiber long johns or "base layer" there is no stink that comes out. I even made a hat out of one and cut eye holes in it so my breath doesn't contaminate the area.

    I saw seven or eight out in a field. Too bad they took off when I put the truck in park. Ok well they were where I can hunt at least hahaha A little pressure elsewhere and BAM, deer move in.

    Kind of a big assumption to go from probably to definitely across the board don't you think? lol You might find a difference between a survey asking you would use one if legal and the number of people who actually do use them. But that doesn't matter because its not the end of the world. This whole post was one big assumption. I provided a link I found interesting from a 2009 survey released in 2010 that countered the doom and gloom and then you kind of went off on a tangent.

    This is what you said. ^ I'm not sure how you can try and dispute and twist what you said the first time around. Wouldn't less deer=more challenge? It does on this side of the state, I find it more enjoyable in fact. The bottom line is you are gathering a state wide hunting pressure opinion based on two smaller sized parcels that you hunt. That's narrow vision.

    So you are saying you don’t want others to hunt bucks because they might kill one before you do. DMP are in fact the biggest tool the DEC uses to control deer populations.

    Too bad the DEC has no way of controlling doe take, like a permit or something. That would be a good idea!
