I for one do not like or want AR. I feel the one buck tag is what we need. I think we should have our hunting license issued like they do in New Mexico. Before you can buy your licence, you have to state your weapon of chose and that is the only weapon that you can hunt with. You are issued one tag for one deer (buck or doe) that's it. When you get a deer you must report it at a check sation. and you are all done. I hunt bow, gun and black powder and if I want to I can take three bucks a year and have done so for manny years. I know this would make many people unhappy , but so be it.

erussell, I agree with you 100% . I am in the Windsor area and I see bear all the time. I see alot of them in the spring when out for turkey hunting and a few during bow season, but never in gun season, but there are one or two taken near me every year.As far as I am concern I hope they shoot them all.

Just got home with the wife and as we pulled into the driveway,I spotted two hens with 10 or 12 chicks in the back yard. They were about the size of grouse. I haven't seem any turkeys in the back for the last three years so I am hoping that this a start to better days ahead.

Pygmy, It sounds like you have a great morning on the water. Anytime you can limit out on walleyes (19"in to 29"in) means you were doing something right. They would be a nice catch in anyones book. I don't fish for walleyes ,but I know a lot of guys who do and would love to know where you were fishing. That no.#11floating rapala is a killer . I know a few guys on the Delaware who fish the first thing in morning for trout that do real well using them.

Went down to the Delaware the other day. The flow has been steady for the last few weeks. at (500 CFP) ,but the other day they open it up a little more to (900 CFP) ,why I don't know but it made for good fishing. The flow was only up for 36 hours and I got there at the right time ,right in the middle of it. I only had time to fish for two and a half hours and made the most of it. I had 6 hook ups and landed 4 . All nice fat fish and all browns. Two of them were 18"in. and One was 20"in and the best of the day was 24"in. The two that I lost felt like good fish. I also had a few more bites that I missed. Not a bad day for the the time I was there. All my fish are C/R. I am thinking about another trip tomorrow.

A little afer six am this morning I took my dog out to do her business and heard a hen yelping and cutting just down the road from my house. I have seem alone hen around for the last two weeks, but have not heard her calling. This morning she was making up for lose time. Her calling went on for a good 15 min. We have had a lot of rain for the last two or three weeks and she may have lost her brood because of the rain or her nest got washed out. I don't know,but she sure wanted company.

Yes I have fished there many times and have taken a lot of nice rainbows there. All the fish that I catch are all C/R .no matter were on I river I am fishing, that way I can go back another day and catch them again.

Fished the Delaware this morning and hooked up on 9 fish,all browns. Landed 6. Four of them were small 10"in. two others were 14" to 16"in . Lost one when he made a jump and came off. looked to be around 16"in. Hooked up on another that stayed down, but felt like a good fish that I never saw. Best fish of the day was a 20"in plus that I had on for a good two min. and then came up and rolled three or four times and came off. I had many more bites and could not hook them. The bite was real light and soft, nothing hard. I only fished for two and one half hours before it started to rain hard and it was time to leave.

In my travels today, I was very disappointed in how few flags were flying. On this day of all days the flags needed to be flown to show our support for our troops and there sacrifices ( passed and present). I for one flew mine today and everyday.

What,s wrong with this law. It is illegal for any sports shop or store to sell lead weight less than 0ne oz. for fishing in New York state.(spit shot). You can not buy any lead weight from online stores from out state because it is illegal to ship it into New York state.Now for the good part, you can use any size lead weight ( spit shot) in New York state for fishing ,because it is legal to use. If you go out side of NYS to buy it or have someone you know carry it in for you ,then you are legal. I would like to know who thinks up and writes the game and fish laws? Please let me know if you have the answer.

Congratulation on some nice birds there. I have only heard one gobble all year. I know there are a few birds around, but they are not talking. (7s) .I wish I was hunting in your woods. It is good that you got one for your buddies, now you will have to go out and get him another,good luck and shoot straight.

I live and hunt mostly in (7s) and some hunting in(40). I have noticed that the turkey population is down in all the areas that I hunt. This has been going on for the last three years that I have noticed the population declining.Many people that I know who hunt turkeys are saying the same thing .It has been over two weeks since I have heard or seem a turkey. Hens and gobblers a like. Three years ago I could sit on my back deck and hear 5 or 6 gobblers all spring, today not a peep.The last gobble I heard was almost three weeks ago and it has been a week and a half since I have heard a hen calling, so I know there are a few birds around, but they are not talking. All of my friends are saying the same thing. How would you hunt these birds? Would you run and gun? Would you sit and call? If you sit, how long before you move? Would you call soft or loud? Would you do very little calling or would you be aggressive and call continuity soft and or loud? I have given some thought about maybe throwing some gobbles in with my calling, but I don't want to do that at this time in the season. Please help me out here. Thanks, noodle one

Skin the the bird out ,cut out breast and debone .Cut into strips of 1"x3" in. , wash in egg wash and roll in bread crumbs (I like the Italian with seasoning). Use a sauce pan and put olive oil in pan(1 1/2" to 2"in) bring oil to a slow rolling boil and cook for 4 or 5 min or golden brown. Best way I found for wild turkey,moist and tender if you have kids they will eat them faster then you can make them. I hunted for many years and have taken two gobblers every year and this is the only way that I fould that everyone likes it.

Just came in from spraying all my clothes down with Sawyer insect repellent (w/ permethrin) best thing I know of to keep the ticks off. Need to spray clothes and let dry. One spraying will last all season. I have used it for the last three season and never have had a problem with ticks. Do not use on skin. I spray myself down with Deep Woods Off when heading out for the hunt. So if you are looking for something to keep the ticks off, check out Sawyer. I think Dick,s is carring it now.I get mine from Cabela's. This year is going to be bad with ticks and you don't want to carry any home.

There is a lot of talk about the decline of the deer and turkey population in the last few years and a lot of people are blaming it on the coyotes. Some people feel that an open season on them would help or fix the problem.. What are your thoughts about this and why? If you are spring turkey hunting and calling and a coyote comes in to your calls and you know that season for coyotes is closed,what would you do? Let it walk or shoot it, who going to know ,other than you. What are your thoughts on letting it walk or killing it? If you kill it are you helping the turkey population? You have to keep in mind that if it is a female , you are not only killing her ,but also her pups. What are your thoughts on this? Please try to be honest with your answers . I for one would not think twice about shooting one.

I agree ,The first thing I noticed was he legs. A wild birds legs are not that heavy.

A lot of people think I got my name because I center pin fish with a noodle rod, not so. I got it because I play alot of golf and always used noodle golf balls and when they first came out and for every doz. balls I would buy ,I would get a hat with noodle on it. I had about a half doz hats. Good balls and nice hats. Using a noodle rod for most of my fishing just worked out.

I can not for the life of me believe that this topic is still going on. Everybody has an answer , but no one has said how to fix it. Who's to blame? Not only this topic, but everything else that is going on in this country that is going to hell in a hand basket. Ask yourself who is to blame ? Is It the Dem's or the Gop"s. Guess what ? It's not them, It is us ,YES we the people. We are to blame because we are no longer the BOSS. We send politicans to Wash to work for us, Dem's and GOP"s alike and what do they do when they get there. They tell themselfs that they made it and now they do what they want or there party tells them to do. Some if not all of them sign pledges to their party or some special interest group that now become there BOSS no matter what we want or say, We are no longer there Boss because now all they want to do is stay were they are and they know were the money comes from to keep them there. Now they are our BOSS because they do as they please ,not what is good for the coutry and us. The good thing about it for them is when they do pass laws they can make themselfs exempt from it when they know it is a bad law, so what do they care. The politicans love to follow forums like this because they know that if we are fighting about this, we are not seeing the real problem and that is them. We need to become the Boss again. We need to vote them all out and let the new ones coming in know who the Boss is. We have to let them know that when they pass a law ,they can no longer be exempt from it any more than you and I. That is the only way that when a law is passed , they will make sure it is a good law for all the people and not just a few. We need to be together on this to work and we need all the people working for this. It is the only way it will work. I am all for Health Care because this country needs it, but not the way it is written now.. We are the richest country in the world and there is no need for any one to go without food or health care. We can get this done, all we need to do is see what the problem really is and it is the politicans themselfs.

Elmo, Yes I know what you are saying and that is how I always sent them before, I just don't know what is going on. I have checked my server and everything else and I have also checked on the tool bar and help and have done everything it tells me to do and it still won't send e-mail pictures. The only thing ,I can think of is this pass winter I had to send my computer out to be cleaned up because of pop-ups. Maybe something got deleted and I just am not finding it. I have a Olympus 1030 SW camera that takes great pictures. When I got the camera a program came with it to down load into the computer (OLYMPUS MASTER 2) When I first set it up ,I had no trouble with it and sending pictures to e- mail addresses , When my draughter inlaw came in from California last year she changed the settings on the program so she could send some pictures back to her computer and never set it back to where it was. I have tried every combination of setting and can not get it so that I can sent pictures out. If anyone out there has the OLYMPUS MASTER 2 program for Windows that has the setting for senting e-mail , could you please send them to me. Or if anyone knows were I can find out what I need to do I would appreciate any and all help. The paper work that I have does not tell me a thing. Thanks for your help, noodle one
