i don't think we've got any coming up at the club here, not that it'd help you out this way. they're becoming less and less though. the club doesn't do them nearly as much anymore.

that's the thing though they come in all shapes and sizes. if ladder pipes weren't totally efficient at getting to some of it why not dump a smaller load? some setups aren't large and hold under 1,000 gallons. i'm sure they used what they had at their disposal and a smaller air tanker/bucket setup might not have even been around. i guess what i'm saying is it's not an off the wall idea that should get bastardized like it did.

friend hunted bison with a bow and said it wasn't real hard to kill one compared to say a tough cape buffalo. still i'd go with a heavy Easton FMJ or Carbon Express Pile Driver bolt. Then use a cut on contact head like a Magnus stringer and make sure it's razor sharp. ..congrats too btw.

See trump questioned if they could use a flying water tanker. Seemed to get a ton of shit for it. Wonder if it wouldve been a good idea or feasible. French seemed to think it wouldve collapsed the bldg structure but idk if that was saving face or not. I think it couldve helped I mean the thing cooked for like 15 hours! On the hunter the front stock fiber was dead on. Have an adjustable rear though. Not sure how the 22/45 is. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

I think I might not mind to fat flat trigger. I'm thinking itll give me more orientation for a straight back trigger pull. Definitely tough shooting indoor single handed bullseye competition with the heavy trigger. I'd it was just for hunting I'd leave it be. My mark iii hunter has the fiber optic front sight and came with different color fibers. They didnt stay in well and I've got an ultra dot red dot on it so I'm not even using the front sight. God help me but my Volquartsen trigger kit arrived in the mail. Itll be a PITA getting these parts swapped out in my Ruger Mark III. Still will be nice in competition dropping from stock pull and at just under 5lbs. Should've be close to 2 lbs when I'm done with a little less travel and a more crisp break. Anyone do one? when you get it shot in a bit make sure you bring it in. i had a momma bird hollow it out on me and build a nest inside! lol

everyone knows it's hard to obtain a chick and an airboat, unless the chick owns the airboat.

i'm sold as long as you tell me where you're catching the 50" muskie. lol

i have no complaints for the processor i used one time other than he uses freezer paper and not vac bags. meat quality was definitely not as good as when i do it myself though. i assume it was my deer but don't know for sure. i've shot a bunch of deer, buck and doe. i haven't noticed a terrible difference in meat quality between a yearling buck and ones much older. sometimes depending on the stress they're under or time of the season, etc. things can be effected, same with what they eat, but not enough for me to swear off shooting any particular age class where i'm hunting that's for sure. in all honesty with limited doe tags here it's worth it for me to shoot a middle aged buck that would have a good amount of weight to him. if the opportunity isn't there then so be it. that's what i shoot for. for doe i've had yearling doe to matriarch doe as old as the fields their feeding on. haven't noticed any difference.

there's 50 or so people directly working on investigating the cause. at this time there doesn't seem to be any ties to terrorists. much of the main cathedral still seems to be standing and can be rehabbed. as for comparing it to 911, no doubt this fire is felt around the world, but lets be honest. if they found a couple rooms full of dead children it still wouldn't equal the loss of lives from 911. safe to say lives trump property, whether historic or not.

those big invasive snakes are a huge problem in florida. losing smaller prey species from birds, to reptiles, to mammals i've been told.
-
i'd never stay for fishing in NY. fishing in florida is hands down better.

THE DEC HAS RELEASED THE 2018 DEER HARVEST REPORT
dbHunterNY replied to Larry's topic in Deer Hunting
i forget but they seem to be way off each year. have you ever tried to contact DEC about it? it starts to get difficult when comparing townships versus the whole WMU or aggregates. numbers can be really skewed but statistically they work themselves out the more you zoom out. no doubt you guys have things under control but discrepancies like this tend to make people wonder. i know for a fact the DEC big game unit has looked at this very thread post. whether it's looked at again idk. i'd try to get through to the DEC biologist and tech that handles your area. talk to them about it if they're willing. it might help with their data collection efforts. -
don't have a 7mm-08. most accurate and consistent factory ammo I've owned was Black Hills. They don't load that round probably just very common ones. Next best ammo has been a toss up between Hornady Precision Hunter and Federal Fusion ammo. both have been accurate and consistent in different rifles and available in 7-08

i agree with culver. it's a good idea to head off the water best you can before it gets there. if it's a low spot it might still get there being you've got clay and if over the pipe is gravel or something and not topped with clay.

damned if that doesn't hit ya right in the feels. that's awesome jay. scotland sure would be a cool get away vacation some day.

4' or so it's likely not pitched that much to be below the frost line. if there ledge or rock under the pipe close to the frost depth it makes it a lot worse. this isn't what i do, but i'd install the flex boot. also similar to a what's used around a foundation or alaskan garage slab i'd dig things up a little just to bury a ground frost insulation board over the area of the pipe. it's on the north side of your house and a bit shaded which doesn't help you and is what it is. to double up on frost protection you might be able to put a slightly raised flower garden there. plant shade tolerant flowers and plants then when fall arrives lay down a bunch of straw that will just break down and can be worked into the soil. you'll want to make sure the line isn't busted though before you do anything. could be adding to it being wet unless it's just a low spot.
