  1. Back to having a stash. Sent from my SM-G781V using Tapatalk
  2. Saturday I got everything back together. Blades replaced after a decade of mowing (I sharpen them each season), everything all greased, oil and filter changed, and a slow leak in the front tire fixed. Wind rows were coming along until the rain came. Guess I can't bale it for hay now, but maybe mulch. Sent from my SM-G781V using Tapatalk
  3. My grandfather had a small engine repair shop that was a dealer for toro and other brands. Another guy I know owns and operates (does all repair work) for a small engine shop that does hand held stuff like saws. Both say to stick to 91 octane non ethanol gas (I get it from Stewart's shops) and in the hand held stuff run it rich (1:40 vs 1:50 for premix) stuff will run forever. I haven't had anything rebuilt or taken apart and cleaned yet and they run. zero turn runs like the day I got it about a decade ago. Sent from my SM-G781V using Tapatalk
  4. Might be hard to understand for some. While I don't have good things to say about their stance on crossbows I'm glad it was a good turn out. I'm of the opinion that when crossbow use gets expanded I'm sure it won't be protesting will die after full inclusion. Same as when people went from trad bows to compounds. Having another group advocating for hunting is only a good thing though. Sent from my SM-G781V using Tapatalk
  5. Yea I don't buy loaded tss ammo. Too expensive. If you reload though it does come in that size. Might even be half sizes too but not sure of that. Sent from my SM-G781V using Tapatalk
  6. That's a great trip. More south on river closer to sea the better your chances of nice fish but both are great fish. Up here Charters might only pull in a handful 40+" fish all run/season. Sent from my SM-G781V using Tapatalk
  7. Not your traditional setup and honestly my go to deer rifles have basic duplexs on them. Last rifle I setup has MOA windage and elevation hash marks with red dot. Can turn red dot off for more precision or if your battery dies you're still good. Varies in intensity from last light bright to sunny daylight bright. I'm really liking it. 8. No smaller than #8 I thought. Sent from my SM-G781V using Tapatalk
  9. Still use #8 but yea. I know if at least one forum member that loads 410 with tss. Sent from my SM-G781V using Tapatalk
  10. Plugged it into ballistic app I use and result seemed close to what I'd expect. Your drop something around 13-14" at 350 yards? Seems like bottom post would be more than that but maybe your more than a 9x scope. Anyway I get your point that you can use the reference points in a standard duplex similar to a bdc. 11. Still crazy high if you're talking fmj. Sent from my SM-G781V using Tapatalk
  12. Not out. Have a couple boxes of each. Sent from my SM-G781V using Tapatalk
  13. ours were sold on order. reason i never posted about them. if i hear of anyone looking i'll send them to you.
  14. people can call me what they will but i've already traded in my fleece for a my Cabelas gore-tex rain jacket just for heading into the office. i should make more time to go fishing but i don't. 40+ inchers getting caught left and right over a hundred miles north of them on the Hudson river. changing slot limits or less pressure before they get here idk.
  15. i'm not really out to change anyone's mind because the writing is on the wall. i don't even have a xbow, but i haven't been into a single archery shop throughout the country that didn't sell crossbows. if i want to have a xbow worked on i wouldn't go to a big box store or a gun shop. i'd go to an archery shop to get it repaired or tuned up. what's more important is i don't see a chance in hell my daughter will be able to pull back a vertical bow that she could confidently kill deer with once she turns legal bowhunting age of 12 yrs old. a crossbow however could easily get her into bowhunting. when i get to old to draw a trad bow or compound i'll kill deer in archery season with a xbow until the day i die calling myself a bowhunter. those are the reasons NYBH will continue to die a slow miserable death, despite I don't necessarily wish it any ill will.
  16. i hated the wood grips. seemed like then went from round and bulky to a weird ridge in the center. they had an aftermarket upgrade one that was more like what you see today and maybe polymer at one time. even my other wood gripped bows had a more flat face and feel for consistency.
  17. i've tuned and setup Mathews bows for others but never owned one. They are nice. Halon 6 seemed to be a popular pick.
  18. congrats Dave. Our old house was smaller than my current garage. lol i don't think i ever want to move the stuff i'm accruing. only time i probably would is to build (not with current cost of bldg materials) or live on property i acquire. current house is 12 minutes from the family farm though.
  19. i have plenty of 9mm in brass. haven't really been looking but pick up a little here and there. out here in eastern NY i came across some. picked up 460 rounds of 5.56, 650 rounds of target 22LR, 100 rnds of low brass #7.5 12ga, and 100 rnds of low brass #7.5 20ga. didn't touch the other calibers and left plenty for others. 45-70 and others have been kicking around. haven't seen any 7mm-08 or 30-06 in quite a while.
  20. For the stink there's this stuff called Odoban. Never used it after the whitening though so don't know if it'd make it less pearly white. Sent from my SM-G781V using Tapatalk
  21. Horrible resolution but I don't think I'm seeing what I mentioned. Still possible it's 3.5 yrs old but sticking with 2.5 yrs old as my guess. Sent from my SM-G781V using Tapatalk
  22. You have better dirt out there but here in NE NY we've sent bucks in lab to verify age and 2.5 yr olds have ranged from 120 to 178 lbs taken early regular season. Sent from my SM-G781V using Tapatalk
  23. There's things you'd see to put it at possibly 3.5 yrs old if you included a pic from the top too. If it's 3.5 youd have the the following.... Dentine width on 4th tooth back should be as wide and likely wider then thickness of enamel and 5th tooth shouldn't be blatantly obvious its not as wide. Progression of wear is the idea. Not like you're getting out calipers and what you're comparing is small. Also back side of the last lingual crest or mountain peak on the last tooth should have dentine showing with dentine line going up one side over the peak and then down the backside all the way. Last cusp looks not that worn but at 3.5 it'd have at least a Cresent moon shape of dentine showing and pretty flat with no raised point to it. 2.5 can have a little bit of a Cresent shape starting to appear but not as pronounced. Maybe that's clear as mud. Virtual learning is always harder than in person instruction. Sent from my SM-G781V using Tapatalk
  24. It's because he forgot to put it on. He forgets everything. Sent from my SM-G781V using Tapatalk
  25. Some people confuse mask wearing in Asian countries with the need due to air quality in their heavily populated cities. I've been told by people stationed or there for work that it's pretty bad supposedly. Also fun fact barely anyone uses PPE the way it's supposed to and often actions negate the purpose of wearing it.
