  1. Guys very strange but on the eve of the big Albany rally the site called NY Firearms is shut down?? this is the forum where most of the planning for this event is taking place, way too coincidental for me! http://www.nyfirearms.com/forums/
  2. Alot of it started when women began relying on others to raise their children. Sadly statistics prove this, and many clinical psychologists say there is a direct correlation.
  3. Hannity is a cheerleader who should be wearing a skirt and sporting pom poms, cant stand him, dont like the congressman either. problem with this country is that people still actually take sides with the two groups of criminals that have done a real good job of screwing us for the last 50 years...
  4. I think we have reached a dangerous time in our country, and its not because people no longer believe in God, but because people no longer believe in science. Alot of this stems from the media and a certain political party whos supporters/sponsers wants the general population to be dumbed. I hear people pooing things like global warming, modern medicine, space travel, our learning institutuions today. People mumbling things like yea he was educated in Havard, must be an idiot, or yeeeaaa we should cut funding for this research or that type of science because its a waste of taxpayer dollars. Then that very same person hops into his 2012 Lexus which in itself is a marvel of science and heads home to enjoy dinner which is made safe bacause of the advances in science that made it that way, and then he heads off to bed and takes the meds which lower his blood pressure, another for cholestrol, and lets not forget the nexium which made him forget what heartburn ever felt like. then he pops a little blue pill that makes him a 19yr old in the sack again. But when he wakes up in the morning and heads to work he will sit there and agree wholeheartedly with his buddies about what a waste of money and time the space progam is and that they are shooting his dollars into space and what idiots doctors are today, and how good the cars of the 60s were compared to todays crap etc, etc..
  5. i've had deer standing 25 ft from me when in full blaze, they are color blind beyond any shadow of a doubt and i dont need a scientist to tell me that...
  6. yea i checked my Ameristeps...called the brickhouse, 72x72 by 66 high, and they can be had for 130 now...its like alittle room in there..
  7. I did this year for deer and shot a doe towards the end of the season out of one during muzzle season. I have the basic hub type Ameristep blinds purchased at gander for about 150 each and the footprint is roughly 60x60 inch i thinks. You can shoot 360 if you keep all the windows around you cracked/open for viewing the woods although i back mine up to heavy briar patches/swamp thickets on my property and keep the back window shut for even better concealement, the black backdrop hides you nicely especially for turkey where you want to be extra stealthy. I have used them for turkey hunting now for years and have set them up near roosted birds in the evening and come back in the a.m. and sneak in and the birds dont seem to have an issue with them, i have called birds to 30 feet of a blind many times the morning after setting them up the prior evening, deer on the other hand need time to get used to them.I have grown rather fond of blind hunting because of the comfort level, you can stretch out, pour coffee, get up and pee in a bottle and have a game come by you 40 seconds later because it never saw you doing all that.
  8. alot of hunters are going to ground blinds. cover your movement, keeps you outta the wind and easy...
  9. could it happen, man i think anything could happen after what i saw Cuomo pull off...
  10. 410 is for lifting squirrels out of tree tops, thats about it.
  11. it might be hard or impossible for bigger companies to join in, they are corporations with share holders and parent companies and making any decision to not sell to a certain market might be a tough sell for board members and shareholders.
  12. prayers sent, Long Island has the best childrens hospitals in the country...
  13. crime of the century no doubt, maybe you should set bear traps...
  14. As far as the blue tagged LEO only firearms i imagine so. but the high cap mags were being sold to anyone.
  15. didnt have the coffee, i had plenty before getting there, but the sausage guys homemade Sopressata, and little kielbasa's in a variety of flavors are awesome, also some real good jerky... there was one guy selling high cap prebans for AKS and ARs at 25 a pc, i asked him if is was still legal to buy these and he said yes until April 14th? i dunno???
  16. well i went to the Middletown Gun show yesterday and the reality of Cuomos new gun laws really hit home, SKS rifles with Law Enforcement only tags on them? Ammo prices right up there with what every other cut throat is selling it for. The sausage vendor guy was good though!!
  17. yea but Larry P will stop sales to those depts, and you would be amazed at how much LEO's buy on there own.
  18. for right around the property i just like the 22mag, not too loud and i can group 2.5in @100yds with my H&R handi rifle with bull barrel and 3x9 simmons. it will kill anything right up to big coons and probably drop a yote if i ever had the chance. still cheap and available ammo...
  19. good point, very good point. just like every fishing lic purchaser more than likely has a fishing rod...the one thing about ammo purchases is that they know what caliber firearms they are coming to collect.
  20. i really gotta wonder why everyone has to single one guy out and bash the hell out of him and all to accomplish nothing?
