  1. get em a nice soprasetta and provolone, red roasted peppers in olive erl, and some good semolina bread man!!
  2. in Russia's Siberia there is no over population of wild boars. just like there is no over population problem of people in Siberia. but put any living thing in a warm wet climate and it will grow, just look at Florida, many pigs, many people,
  3. funny how right away they wanna close hunting ranches because of the wild boar problem. also the part about them never really becoming as populated here as down south because of our winters is somthing i have always believed.
  4. gotta love that furniture on the front porch, and your name is BUBBA!!!
  5. once again, rock solid proof that the anti hunting groups in our state are hard at work, well funded and very clever...they no longer attack the right to hunt, they slowly chisel at the way we are allowed to hunt, slowly undermine and reduce our numbers to a point or voices are no longer heard in this huge state of ours. attack where we can hunt, attack the type of ammo we hunt with, attack access to hunting lands, then get the clown lawmakers/politicians who see the clout/votes these groups possess to pass the anti hunting laws they want...
  6. buy one of those chinese shipping containers, they come 40 ft or 20 ft, completetly water tight and last forever. there sending them here with their chinese goods en em and we are just stacking em up here, the prices on them are getting lower and lower. bout 1600.00 for a 40 footer.
  7. hunting has done nothing to effect my life in negative way. it makes me feel good and it's legal and not really that expensive, heck i know guy's that gamble, chase women, sit in bars, even a crack head, i'm fine with hunting..
  8. you know this would never work because someone or some group would just start cryin the blues no matter when they made this short crossbow season, and to put a short crossbow season at the end of all the other hunting seasons just wouldnt fly with crossbow enthusiasts. a crossbow is a bow and belongs in archery season, plain and simple.
  9. dude, you need to educate yourself, NY state is losing hunters at a drastic rate, about 200 thousand since the late 70s and the average age of a NY hunter is in the early 50s!
  10. this is great and is pretty good proof of the changing tide in NY,
  11. watch it Larry, your liable to get the crossbows are for lazy people who want to use a weapon thats just like a rifle during bow season crowd a squakin again
  12. well with the future outlook of what our economy will bring i dont think we are going to have to worry about too much more in the way of devolpment....
  13. i got hammered by those things about 2 summers ago while weed wacking and got stung 10 or so times, they came shooting out of the hole like bullets out of a thompson machine gun. i ran 150 yds back to my front porch and thought i was in the clear and within a second or two they were flying all around me and still stinging me!!finally got in the house and ripped my shirt off and killed about 3 right right in my hallway?? went out at night and retrived my weed wacker which i had hurled in the air while being stung, it ran out of gas by then. then i poured about 3 gallons of gas right down there hole and that took care of those little bastards....sorry for the long yarn but i still feel traumatized by this and my therapists says it good to talk about it ;D
  14. NY state has added hundreds of thousands of acres of state land over the decades, much of it under hunted especially during bow season or late bow/muzzle. i hunt my own land but that even becomes boring after awhile, thats when i head to state forest land where i can wander for days and never be on the same trail twice.
  15. hey fellas, here is the NY bowfunkers assc incs policy on crossbows, i especially like the part where they make a comparison to a high power Thompson Center rifle, LOL oh and isnt it really special how they have a letters from our troops section?? yea "our troops" as long as they dont wanna hunt with a crossbow right ??? read and laugh below.... http://www.newyorkbowhunters.com/xbow.html
  16. if you need to sell your bow to make the purchase of your new bow a done deal by all means do so. but having a backup bow is a great thing. as far as it getting too close to the season to switch to a new bow i think you have more than enough time for that. todays bows can pretty much be set up and ready to shoot in a couple hours or even less. the Z7 is a great bow and you will be ready to plug deer with it in a few days, dont worry just go for it!!!
  17. the Diamond Black Ice is the smoothest quietist bow i'v ever owned...
  18. Trappers are still here and still a big and important part of the hunting community here in NY state. they have been under a tremendous amount of fire by anti hunting groups and even get bashed by fellow hunters here in NY. i support them fully, and as hunters i suggest we all do the same.
