Hmmmm...It always used to be on the shelf in the grocery store, next to the oils, shortenings, etc...I guess I haven't looked for it in years.. I'd second the suggestion to check out the Amish/Mennonite stores, if there are any in your area, unless you want get the pork fat and render your own...

Back in the days when I was calling/hunting, we had of plenty of foxes come in after a shot ( or two) had been fired... Of course, they may have been dumber back then, since not many people were doing it at the time... After a few years, when more people started calling, they definitely got harder to kill...

Cool, John...I don't go out on frigid nights anymore, but I still remember a night about 40 years ago when my buddy and I killed 8 grey foxes in one night....We were just using a hand held red light, powered by a 12 volt car battery ( carried by my Big BuddY Bill) and a 45 rpm record player....Shooting my 20 gauge SKB double with 3" #4 shot... We got home at 4 AM...I had to be at work the next morning at 8:00 AM.....I took a nap at lunchtime and then had 8 foxes to skin when I got home after work... Of course, the GOOD part was that grey foxes were bringing $50 each at that time..Reds were $75, but we never killed many reds, mostly greys...Nobody had ever seen a coyote around here at that time.. Good hunting. My Friend !!

I was carrying out some groceries from the A&P store in Addison in 1969, to a deuce and a half size truck that was headed to Woodstock... The people in the truck encouraged me to jump in the truck and go with them... At the time, it seemed a pretty radical kind of thing to do, and I have always been sort of a conservative type guy... Looking back, I kind of wish I had gone with them...<<sigh>>...

What a mess....Took a month ( or more) to clean it up....
