In any area where it is legal to hunt with a rifle, it is also legal to hunt with a pistol...I do not think there is any law against carrying TWO legal hunting instruments, so you should be perfectly legal with an exposed holster while hunting..

Well, saw my tits off !! I have been saying that I NEVER do anything illegal...I have been carrying handguns while working or hiking in rural areas in open hip holsters for many years...My pistol permit says NO RESTRICTIONS on one side, and on the other side it says I cannot carry it in NYC... I did not know I was a blatant lawbreaker...My apologies...It will NEVER happen again...Thanks for enlightening me, Steve... GAWD...Now I feel so GUILTY and CHEAP...!!!!

A 600 grain projectile at nearly 1900 FPS would rate right up there in recoil with large caliber elephant type guns, and those are usually fired in 12 to 15 pound double rifles... To shoot such a load in a 7 pound pump gun would be nuts....

I graduated from high school in 1968...Of the 100 people in my graduating class, 3 were KIA and several others were seriously wounded..Another was a suicide shortly after he returned stateside, probably due to his experiences in Nam... We were watching people being moved around in body bags nightly on the 6 o'clock news...In March of 1971, I was a pall bearer for one of by best hunting and fishing buddies KIA by small arms fire.. It was the first time I cried since I was 12 years old.. I was as patriotic as anyone, and did not want to shirk my duty, like the scumbags who fled to Canada, but saw no dishonor in a joining a branch of the service where I was less likely to come home in a body bag..Besides, sleeping on a ship was much more appealing than sleeping in the mud, and the chow in the Navy was FAR better...Hehehe...

I never had a hub blind....My doghouse blinds are pretty easy, but sometimes it takes me a couple of tries to get them to go back into the sack... Kinda like my dating back years ago....I usually had to expend some effort ( and $$) to get one into the sack...
