I admit that I always preferred showering with the girls rather than the boys... Actually, the only .30 mags I have shot were .300 Win mags, and they were every bit as brutal as my .338 WM... I worked up loads with my buddy's .300 Win and my .338 side by side, and they were both downright vicious from the bench....Kinda like comparing getting into the ring with a good heavyweight and then a good light heavy..Both of them beat me up... My buddy said he never realized his .300 Win kicked so bad until he watched ME shoot it...Hehehe..

Bluegills/pumpkinseeds are IMHO the best tasting fish in fresh water....

Every time I eat pigeons I wonder why I don't hunt them more often.... Also some GREAT challenging wingshooting….And wingshooting is probably my favorite thing, since I have become too old for my OTHER favorite thing....<<sigh>>….

Noony noony noony….Classic chambering but too much recoil for this little wimp...I recently passed up a REAL good price on a #1 .375 H&H.... Why own it if I can't enjoy shooting it ??

My apologies for getting somewhat off topic, but Bugsy's single shots have caused a wet cleanup in aisle Pygmy... A few years back Ruger made a limited run of #1's in .303 British for the Canadian market... What a combo...A classic cartridge mated with a fine single shot rifle...I'd love to score one of those...OOPS !!..Sorry..Gotta get some more tissues...

I know my way around an 1100..Have had several, and still own one that I bought 40 years ago..Killed a gobbler with it this spring.. Great shooting dependable shotguns, as long as you keep the gas pistons/ mag tube clean... Always have a couple of spare o rings on hand also..

I use it for vertical jigging for lakers, with a fluorocarbon leader...Lack of stretch allows you feel a fish BREATHE on a 1 or 1.5 Oz. jigging spoon 100 feet down and deeper...Mono is like a rubber band at those depths....

How awful to limit it to only 3...6 would be a more realistic number... HOWEVER, here are 3 that I use a lot and would never part with.. Ruger 10/22 bought around 1970...Walnut stock and a few thousand rounds through it and it still never misses a lick.. Ithaca SKB 20 gauge side by side bought around 1974...25 " barrels IC and MOD.. My go-to upland bird and bunny rabbit gun... Winchester M 59 12 gauge ( with fiberglass barrel) bought in 1965...Killed my first turkey, my first goose and countless other feathered flying things such as crows, pigeons, upland birds and waterfowl.. The model was only made from 1959-1963... Honorable mentions...My Win M70 laminate stock .280, which has killed game all over the continent, including whitetails, mulies, moose, caribou , pronghorns and assorted varmints... My current favorite whitetail rifle, a Rem 700 Mountain rifle in 7MM08.... My Rem 11-87 SP which has accounted for lots of turkeys, ducks and geese... And others....<<sigh>>….
