It has been many years since I used them, but they were dynamite bait for big smallmouths in a lake I used to fish in Ontario, hooked through the lips and drifted near bottom in 15-25 FOW... Then one time I caught a bunch and tried them in Keuka Lake, fishing the same way..All I caught was a big pickerel...

Awesome....I can honestly say that in 70 years of living in a rural area with lots of deer, I have never seen a buck on the hoof as big as the one in the lead in the third picture...Good luck, my friend...

I do have an open area and a sidehill we could expend unlimited ordinance on and not hurt a thing other than perhaps a few bushes...We'd have to get creative on the targets, since there are no facilities there, just an open area with a safe backdrop... The way my hands shake anymore I couldn't hit anything much farther away than my living room with a handgun....I would love to see some of you guys ( and girls) who are good shots do your stuff, though.... I hereby extend my offer to provide the real estate to shoot on.... Sounds like the makings of a GTG....Perhaps we can get some other members interested....

Not making the trip this morning...Two Buck Bob canceled out and I didn't feel like dealing with launching/retrieving the boat by myself... Hoping to get together with Otto sometime next week on Skaneateles....

If I had a 16 gauge Deerslayer I'd leave it intact....Lots of other cheap options for slug guns rather than reducing the value of a vintage firearm...However, it's HIS shotgun....

Those little deer can run like hell....The coyote probably had less than a 50/50 chance.....

Frogs are so easy to clean that they practically clean themselves..I love them although I have not pursued them in years.... The last time I had then was in a little Italian place on the north shore of Oneida lake near Rob's home...I saw them on the menu and asked the waitress how they were..She told me they were to DIE for.... I ordered them and they were closer to something to die OF....They were disgusting...Next time I will get my own... I currently have permission to get some on a property that is currently leased by friends of mine, where I used to get them many years ago....Now if I could only find my old frog gig....<<<SIGH>>>....
