One of my local 5 pointers out for snack of wheat and oats.

Two does so far. One was blowing about something. She was a good 150 yards away so I don't think it was me.

Been up in the tree since 545. Beautiful morning!! Chose to sit over my food plot this AM. Really want to hunt my creek bottom stand but it's too risky on pushing deer out as I go in. So I'll hunt that this afternoon instead. I dressed a little too warm this morning. But I didn't forget anything! Good luck all!

Reminds me of the time I ran over a few ducklings. It was on a blind corner, I saw a couple cars pulled over and as I came around I see them squatting in the road looking toward the ditch on my side of the road. I didn't see the ducks until it was too late. With the people in the road taking pictures of these little ducks I couldn't swerve to the other lane to avoid hitting them and I wasn't slamming my truck in the ditch for a few ducks. Should of seen how mortified those city yuppies were as I steam rolled the ducks. Oops.

Crap food for me tonight. Got out of work at 7am. Back at 3pm. I'm here until at least midnight. Forgot to grab some kind of food from home on my rush back to work. Wife was at a friends kids bday party an hour away all day so she swung by the mill with McDonald's for me. I guess it's better than sitting here hungry.

No release is the worst thing for me to forget. I can go without on just about everything else, but I can't hunt without a fully functional weapon. Anything else is just a luxury and can be gotten later in the day at lunch time. There's no worse feeling than walking in early and working hard to be as silent as possible only to get all setup in the tree and find you can't even fire your bow. I've only done this 2 times, but I was mad as hell about it lol. I tend to pack a day or so early and have everything ready to roll so forgetting stuff is at a minimum for me these days. I use two separate pack setups and they both have everything I need and I don't take stuff out so it should always be there. I double up on just about everything so it's less likely to forget somethig

This year has got to be the latest I've been on getting my bow ready and practice time in. I didn't really start shooting a bunch until September. Usually I've flung over a thousand arrows by Labor Day. I am a little disappointed in myself for lacking on bow practice this summer but I'm shooting good regardless. I blame the busy life of 65-80 hour work weeks plus kids on the lack of practice this year. I suspect it might be a trend going into the future as the kids get older and more involved in stuff as it will pull me away from my things. That's alright though.

I'd simply go over to the guy and tell him you have no issue with the trails but could he possibly stay off them during deer season. Or if there's a certain area or side of the property that you don't plan on hunting, ask him if he can stick to that until season is over. Make sure you tell him when exactly hunting season starts and ends. If you have 2500 acres there's no way two guys can't figure out how to avoid contact during a 2 month period of time. In the end neither one of you own the land so neither one of you can say who gets to do what. So unless you two want to ruin the access for the both of ya, you best go in with a level head ready to compromise a bit.

Can't wait to post in here Sunday morning. Cold front is here and brought a little rain the last couple hours. We sure do need some rain but sadly this wasn't enough. I guess some is better than none. Good luck to anyone hunting NZ today

No I didn't. I didn't even realize there was one until this thread. Been holding off on updating after seeing all the problems here

I can respond and do everything on Tapatalk on my iPhone. But I am noticing that I'm not getting all the "notifications" when people reply on threads I'm subscribed to.

He might be kinda mad, since it would most likely buckle back and smash up his bumper.

How'd we go from bait piles to poaching? Not sure why anyone would even care who baits and who doesn't. It's not going to pull deer in from 6 miles away. Not to mention it has little to no effect on bucks during most of hunting season. If your baiting bucks your doing it wrong. You supposed to be baiting does. Which pull in the bucks.

So many people bait. It will never stop. DEC doesn't have the manpower to do anything about it and they never will. I see guys buying the stuff all the time. Wish we could do it legally here though. It really is a stupid law, so many other states allow it without any problems. I used to dump thousand pound piles or even bigger out in Kansas all the time. And that's pure AG country right there, but we still used big ass corn piles and it works damn good. If I wasn't worried about people like wolc running around calling DEC I'd be dumping truck loads of it in my food plot.

I'd say 2.5-3 but more likely 2.5. Has a lot of young buck look to him

Anyone else keep humorous cam shots?

I save all sorts of pics. I like seeing all wildlife just doing whatever they do. -

Never understood how business can so easily not understand that the service matters more than the sales.

Considering where this took place, it probably got rabies from hanging around with the locals....

Was 70. Bow shop cranked me up a little more to compensate for some string stretch to get my through the season without having to put new strings on. Not exactly sure what it's at now. I'd guess around 73ish. I could definitely feel it when I pulled it back after the guy messed around with it.
