Cabin Fever

Mayhem indeed!! I know what you mean!! I saw so many squirrels I couldn't count them all!! They were causing so much chaos! Chasing each other through the leaves, running up and down trees, chattering, burring nuts, leaping from branch to branch shaking acorns loose! Those rascals!!! I'll be glad when the deer in my area actually catch on to this "rut thing"...

This buck was at my stand at 6:18am this morning and the next series of pics were of me walking up to check the cam at 6:32am! LOL I had more cam activity in the past 24hrs that I've had in the previous 8 days combined! Hopefully things are starting to heat up!

Funny that several times when using the scent crusher bag to treat my clothes in the back room of the house, my wife has said, "We must have a window open somewhere, because I can smell fresh air". LOL That's pretty much what clothes smell like afterwards.

I'm a believer in the scent crusher system. I treat my clothes after every 2-3 hunts. I tend to be a scent freak anyways. I've had deer downwind of me many times, that might put their nose up in the air trying to figure out what "it" is, but they just don't make the connection and walk away unalarmed. I've even had them walk up to me from downwind, but since I don't smell like a threat, they just wander off. I also use the "Scent Crusher Go" vehicle unit. It's really nice to use after you had fast food, pizza or something else smelly in the truck! After I get out, I'll leave the truck running with the Scent Crusher Go unit running for ~20min. When it's done, the truck has zero odor! As others have mentioned, it does kill elastic though!

Happy Birthday Gents!

Saw nothing from the stand. On my way out, I glanced over my shoulder and saw the white buck that I've had on trail cams all summer staring at me from 15-20 yards! I pulled my phone out and took several pics, waved to him, and walked away. He just stood there watching me the whole time and never moved! LOL Damn, that would have been the perfect selfie opportunity with him in it!
