    I haven't seen a deer in almost 4hrs, but it's such a beautiful day, I hate to leave!! I keep thinking there's always that chance a nice buck will come by to grab a few acorns for lunch! LOL The ground is covered with acorns!! Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

    Not yet. He's probably the buck I've gotten the most pics of in the past 6 weeks though. Not an albino. Genes came from the Seneca Army Depot at some point... Black eyes. When I checked my cam last week, he was walking by at 1:00pm and I got to the stand at 2:30pm. One of these days, I'll lay eyes on him! LOL He's usually with pretty good company, so seeing that white figure will help tip me off! (So I can put the coffee down anyways!) Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

    That was the plan for today. I went in early, to get out extra early. Then the DEC and EPA decided to stop by and do a surprise audit and inspection at work! Dammit!!

    If the arrow smacked the shoulder blade or the bone, it would have been loud. Could have sunk it into the meat and/or buried it into the opposite shoulder.

    Been there, done that! Remind him that it's a lot better for that deflected arrow to cause a miss rather than a bad hit/lost deer! There's still plenty of time left for him to score!

    If it makes you feel any better, I'll sit out in the backyard and have a beer for you! I just walked in from 8-straight-hours of sitting in the stand and never saw a deer, so I'm good and ready for a beer! You take the evening shift in the stand for me and we'll call it even!

    Since nothing was moving this morning, I was hoping they would strap on the feedbag and pound some acorns for lunch, like the trail cams have shown they did all week. If they did, they might be having a feast at my other stand... Such a beautiful day. I can't believe I haven't seen a single deer all day!! Not sure I can stick it out until dark.     Haven't seen a thing! I checked a few cams yesterday that I have in the oaks. Seems like all week, deer were up feeding on acorns between 11am-2pm.
