  1. That is one cool looking bear! Shoot that SOB!!!
  2. Tick...Tock... Just need to screw on the broadheads and should be good to go!
  3. IF the opener was on my regularly scheduled day off or if I was retired, I would absolutely hunt (at least in the morning), regardless if it was going to be 84 degrees. Being that I only have so many days of vacation to use, I would rather use the vacation day that I planned for the opener some other time when I know movement will be better AND that I won't be sweating my ass off in the clothes that I meticulously try to keep as scent free as possible! Certainly don't need my camo smelling like ass on the first day!
  4. I first heard about Chinadermics on here 2-3 years ago. I was very skeptical (like everyone else) about the performance and quality. How couldn't you be since they were selling for $1 each!? I found several discussions on ArcheryTalk about them and was totally surprised how guys were raving about the performance. Guys were posting pics of the bloodtrails and detailing their experience with performance. On one discussion, a member said that he wanted to prove the quality of the metal was inferior, so he had one tested along with a Hypodermic. The results were about identical! Boy was he surprised! I had been shooting the Spitfire Maxx, but wasn't thrilled with the bloodtrails, so I thought I would try the Chinadermics. After shooting a couple deer the first year with them, that's all my son and I have been using! They are devastating, shoot just like our fieldpoints, complete pass throughs every time, bloodtrails like I've never seen before, and the heads remain intact! In the past 2 seasons, we've killed 6-7 deer with them and I don't think any deer has made it beyond 80 yards max. I've watched some wobble away, with a steady stream of blood pouring out of them, like an open faucet! Huge entrance and exit holes. If I didn't have 100% confidence in them, we would not be using them! Here's a few pics that I still have (some different deer). Holes were as found and not altered in any way! Entrance EXIT
  5. A couple deer-tracking-machines right there!! Cute as hell too!!
  6. "Well fed"... I like it. I'll remember that one when someone calls me fat! "I'm just well fed."
  7. I tried to answer, regarding bone or meat, but I didn't like the way it made me sound. Thought someone would get the wrong impression. I'll just say it needs to have a nice rack and leave it at that...
  8. Dude, you don't have to convince US that you're "getting sick"! Cough-cough-wink-wink!!
  9. I have zero intensions of shooting anything for the first ~3 weeks anyways, unless it's a dandy buck. Just going out for the enjoyment, take some pics and do a little recon....
  10. Thanks... I'll probably have nightmares tonight.
  11. Right now it says, 82 and showers for the opener. I doubt I'll burn a vacation day to go. I have flexible hours, so I can easily be in the stand for an evening hunt. Guess I can use that as a dry run to work the bugs out and see what I forgot! Can't take off on Wednesday as I gotta give training all day, then I'm booked with meetings until 1pm Thursday, but I'm off on Friday.
  12. Cool! I don't think I've gotten a drop tine buck on cam yet...
  13. Dude, now that's a GREAT idea!! Challenge accepted!! LOL
  14. I don't have any intentions of shooting him. I would get more of a thrill out of just watching him and getting pics. Now if he was a big mature buck....
  15. Thought this was pretty cool. This white spike started showing up around my stand. He's very fond of acorns!! He even sticks out at night when compared to his buddies!
  16. That's pretty cool! Never would have expected to see something like that!
  17. Right now, I plan on going out on Oct. 1st. Hunt until ~10am, go to work for 4hrs (~11am-3pm), then head back to the stand for an evening hunt. BUT, I want to see what the weather is like first...
