  1. Congrats! Something to remember, that's for sure. Looks like a great shot too.
  2. Considering your in north central Wayne County, I'm wondering if it's an elk escapee from Savannah Dhu wildlife and fishing preserve in Clyde? Kind of a well known high fence private hunting preserve. The owner (Bob Congel) invites athletes and celebrities to hunt there. I visited that place while taking a course in college and we did some electroshocking in the lakes there. All I can say is WOW! Loaded with elk, deer, and Russian wild boar.
  3. I picked up a couple pairs today, one a bit heavier than the other. They seem to work well. Sure will beat pulling a glove off each time!
  4. I'll be watching tonight! Hope it's worth the wait!
  5. Gets annoying having to slip my hand partially out of my glove to operate my touchscreen. I'm interested in getting some camo gloves that are touchscreen compatible. Any particular ones that you use, that you would recommend OR not recommend? I might run to BassPro later to see if they carry any.
  6. Sounds someone across the road waited until the last minute to get their kids rifle sighted in for the youth season! They must have shot 50x in the past 2hrs!! Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  7. Very nice! Cool idea incorporating the trap into it too!
  8. Sorry to hear that! Some people have no respect for other's stuff. Won't earn it themselves, so they just steal it from someone else! Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  9. Opening day last year, I hunted a stand that I've had in place for a couple years. As I started to lower my bow to the ground, the damn tow rope snapped! My bow crashed to the ground and I was horrified (and pissed )! I checked everything over and shot it the next day, just to be sure. I just assumed the tow rope must have been damaged in some way, but didn't think anything more about it. Yesterday, I remembered that one of my ladder stands still had the shooting rail installed, from gun season last year, so I went out to remove it. I wrapped the tow rope around the shooting rail and began lowering it down. When there was 1-2' left I the rope, I just let it fall the rest of the way. I was shocked to hear a "thud" and to see that the rope broke, especially considering how light the shooting rail is! WTF!? The rope appeared to be in good shape and visually didn't have any damage, so I was a bit puzzled. Out of curiosity, I "gently" tugged on the end of the rope and it pulled apart like I was pulling a cotton ball apart! I did this several times and it broke off/pulled apart every time like it was old/rotten fishing line! Apparently those tow ropes rot out after a couple of years of being left out 24/7 365 days per year! That's one of the things that I neglect to check each year, but you better believe I will from now on! Just a word of advise, check those old tow ropes before entrusting them with your bow for the first time this year!
  10. Says $138,500 on the listing. But, that's negotiable... Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

  12. Hey Chris! Good to see you around again! Geez, I don't there is a difference in the rules for non-residents.? Just looks like getting the muzzleloader license, doing the online crossbow qualification training, and completing the certificate. https://www.dec.ny.gov/outdoor/68802.html Good luck!
  13. I'm surprised its in such good condition after laying in the woods for almost 2 full years. The brow tine looks like it was chewed on a little, but that's it. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  14. Bored, so I thought I'd share a story... Two years ago, my son was obsessed with this one buck that he was getting trail cam pics of. This was the one and only buck that he wanted. Two weeks after getting his last trail cam pic of this buck, he got another pic of him, only to see that the buck had broken off his drivers side! My son was bummed to say the least! My son was out scouting today and happened to find the antler that the buck had broken off 2 years prior! Notice the chunk of skull that's still attached to the antler! That must have been one hell of a battle that buck was in to break off a chunk of it's freekin' skull like that! Good God! I have a feeling he's probably sleeping with that antler in his bed tonight! BTW, he found the antler ~100 yards from his stand.
  15. I was working at Xerox at the time and we were on lock-down in safe zones. It was interesting to see the anti-gun employees "wishing" we had guns in house then for their protection! They came to me, knowing that I hunt, but I said that I only had my bow in my truck. They asked if I could sneak out and get that for "some protection anyways"! Killed me....
  16. For that price, they should have tuned the high speed muffler bearings too! LOL Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  17. Great work Matt!!! Certainly keeping yourself busy! Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  18. Great investment! I bought my son a lifetime sportsman's license when he was 4, for $250 (also includes turkey tags and DMP's). He's 23 now, so I've damn near got my money's worth already! LOL I also sprung for the lifetime bow license at the same time and paid $125 for that!
  19. I received my son's yesterday, about 3 weeks later than I received mine. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  20. Wow! That's a sweet looking mount!! Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  21. NICE!!! Talk about a sense of accomplishment! I feel the pain too!! LOL Nothing that advil, healing time, and a few cold beers can't cure though! Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  22. Rob, I'm glad I'm not the only one out there working on stands and preparing for hunting season! I've been killing myself the last few weekends moving and trimming stands. I have 8 stands done now. If the mood strikes, I might put up a couple of blinds and brush them in... Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  23. Got this big 'ole gobbler on cam at my last pull.
  24. Still waiting on my son's.... Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
