    I know it's not public, but I just drove past St Bonaventure today and there were 10 deer grazing on the front grass area along rt 417. Could fill a tag easy, but the local police wouldn't be too happy. I guess I'll just go to the camp and avoid trouble.

    I wear head to toe camo...the same outfit I bought 13 years ago, and another I bought over 20 years ago. I don't buy a lot of extra camo, but will wear to give me every advantage I can get. If one gets wet, I switch to the other. As mentioned before, keeping movement to a minimum, plus seeing quarry before quarry sees you is key.

    Not much acreage to work with. If possible, I would adjust stand location to get between bedroom and dining room and minimize bumping into deer. Eventually the spooked deer may seek more peaceful grounds and not hang on your property as much . Perhaps dial in to hunt on specific days of the season when bucks are seeking/chasing so as to minimize spooking deer. I like the last 2-3 hours of the day to hunt, if I had a choice.

    Just having 2-way radios is enough tech for me. I head to the woods to get away from most tech stuff, except the walkie talkies.

    May as well go on a couple Montana hunts with that coin and enjoy it.

    I'm waiting for the air bow to become legal. Seems less complicated than the crossbow. Saw a couple on-line...seems like a cool weapon. Maybe in 10 years or less, they will be legal and put the crossbow out of business. Some may see it as progress...some make think it's criminal, but as technology advances, things change. We'll see.

    I don't know if this qualifies as my "best shot", but certainly my closest shot at an 8 point buck with the compound...7 yards broadside and on the ground. Double lung...watched him leap after shot, ran 20 yards, stopped, twitches his tail like they do when about to expire, did the death leap backwards and out for the count and right in front of me...most thrilling 15 seconds of all time hunting.

    A lot of cheaters out there and are seldom caught. Would not try such stuff like baiting, unless I find I'm terminally ill and don't give a crap anymore.

    Now what do I do with the truckload of apple and corn bait??….sonofabee, there goes my attempt to film my version of a deer hunt video called Merlot Monster bucks...the easy way...I wonder what Hitler would do when confronted with this pesky rule...that Hitler video was classic a few years back.

    Crazy guy...a bit outside the box programing, but I liked the show ….beat the heck out of what passes as comedy these days. Some of the Monty Python episodes/ movies were classics... of course, comedy died a long time ago. Given the politically correct climate these days, producers, directors, actors would be arrested for making stuff like this.
