Just heard on news , dicks will be destroying remaining A/R’s
Merlot replied to rob-c's topic in General Chit Chat
So when a nut job shoots up a place with a shotgun, I suppose all shotguns get tossed in the garbage too. We need to march in the Albany/Washington swamps to protect our rights. I will design camo hats decorated with spent 12 gauge shells, so as to mimic the vagina hats worn by those "open minded" protestors the day after the inauguration . We are losing our county slowly but surely. This is insane. -
Sonofabee, this sucks.

Took a quick look at their website.. I would not tell them anything..based in DC , deep in the swamp.

My wife would not want a portable due to re-fueling issues and we agreed to swallow hard and purchase and have installed a fixed back-up gen and have connected to natural gas presently serving our home. .I will have just the basics hooked up...frig/freezer/furnace/ general lighting/ micro, etc. Oh well...it is what it is. Good luck with whatever you go with.

I may drive up from Olean to check this place out, once it re-opens.

Any one else get a muscle strain from drawing back a bow .
Merlot replied to Hunter007's topic in General Chit Chat
I do recall some muscle strain the day after shooting bow early on, but solved my problems with consistent workouts at the local YMCA, not only for bow shooting, but overall fitness. Easier to draw and hold on target now. -
I will avoid the x-bow for as long as I can, but if others want full inclusion, fine and dandy. I personally will keep in shape as long as I can and keep using my "old fashioned" Bowtech compound bow. Dang x-bows are too heavy and a pain in da butt to lug around anyhow. No poppycorn for me...just a glass of Merlot for me...

I will call it when the friends I have no longer are in the area to hunt with. I will not hunt alone...boring and dangerous.

Several days seems like a while to not see improvement. If no improvement and if possible, appointment to your primary care and maybe after that an MRI to check Lumbar area. I had 2 ruptured discs that sorta just happened without doing anything extraordinary, but it happened...14 years apart. MRI confirmed both episodes. Had a good neurosurgeon, and took care of the problem. I also had shooting pain down one leg due to the ruptured discs. No fun. Wonder if you have issues with pain down a leg. Good luck.

Make a law requiring all individuals at 16 years of age to commit to either wanting to own a firearm OR commit to not being able to own a firearm ever. Those that initially commit to wanting to own firearm can opt out and turn in all weapons, but can never reverse course and want to own again. Place info on all drivers licenses, credit card records, SS cards, give to authorities. If someone shows up to buy a weapon and no record exists on say a drivers license to own or not to own, then you probably have a fake License, held by an illegal alien or terrorist. Just a wild thought.

A rock-n-roll has-been singing group?....oh wait..

Nervous about this auto technology, with many concerns already mentioned here. Another is a mechanical failure...when a tire blows out, what kind of reaction is taken to control the vehicle? I, for one, would prefer being in control of that situation....excuse me while I let my robot take the dog outside for a walk...

Hard to pick between 2 morons.

I am looking at purchasing a spotting scope, to aid me when zeroing in rifles. Out to 200 yards and see where I hit will work for me. Not much of an expert here, so whatever help you can provide will be appreciated.

As mentioned before, did stuff with friends, play ball, ride bikes, play touch football and when thirsty, head for a neighbors garden hose...of course, we asked permission to do so...We found stuff to do, but did not get into trouble and we didn't eat laundry detergent or whatever some fool kids do now.

If Bigfoot was real would you shoot/ hunt it ?
Merlot replied to Hunter007's topic in General Chit Chat
Looks like Mick Dodge, from "The Legend of Mick Dodge" TV show...the guy who wanders about in Washington state somewhere... -

I believe there is close-up photographic evidence of a Bunnyfoot standing near a yelling goat. -
People forget that Peterman was highly liked coming out of college. Yes, he got his face stomped in LA, but the circumstances were not good for him to succeed. Always liked Peterman. He is going to surprise people in a good way come training camp.

Makes sense to me the way you laid this out. Got to have someone ready for a couple years starting and groom a successor. We shall see. This Beane guy has some stones.

Try outdoorlimited.com website and it shows 28 guage available.

lots of holes to fill on the jills. Peterman will be ok as starter.Success starts with good O-line and D-line play. Draft accordingly.
