I do not use a climber, but have used ladder stands and have a couple ropes attached to pull up my stuff, after getting into the stand. Wonder if you can safely tie a couple ropes to your gear that need hauling up, after you are securely up in your climber, and safely pull your stuff up.

75 degrees and sunny in Florida...patterning gators this afternoon. -
I drag enough stuff into the stand as it is....no more. Play the wind, walk slowly and stop lining the pockets of those celeb hunters with your money.

Dead as a doornail opening day in an area of 9H where I hunt...strange.

Bring back the Bump and Run....Let the cornerbacks have some fun.

Already Planning for Next Years "Hunting of the Hunters"

If you were able to develop a sheriffs contact and donate a sum of money to the local sheriffs association, you might have an extra set of eyes keeping a patrol in your neck of the woods. Just a thought. -
N Java seemed dead to us. Nice to hear Bliss was active.

Bills have about 3 percent chance of winning tonight. I'll be in bed by 10.

In my neck of the woods( 9H) it was deader than a doornail on opening day. No shooting where we are set up, as opposed to years ago when our block of woods was a war zone of non-stop shooting. In addition, our club used to have 10 to 12 guys at camp on opening day. Saturday, only 4. Yep, maybe in 10 years, deer hunting will not be around anymore.

I tied my deer off on top of the SUV, before those carriers came along and attach to the 2 inch hitch. I do try to get the deer to the nearest processor without fanfare. I cover it when transporting with plastic to keep dirt off the deer. I must admit to being concerned about some people being critical about hunting. Rather not stir the pot too much. I would rather live on the land I hunt and not worry about the politically correct crowd...If I had the money, I'd buy the land.

you're not going to harvest anything sitting in the house...go out and enjoy.

Just happy to be able to hunt at all this weekend after the cold i have put up with the last few days. Bring it on baby.

Doesn't matter what I do. It's just mayhem on the adjoining property to ours...Plus one of our group smokes cigarettes, and the other guy does not talk quietly at all.
-
Thankfully you survived the situation and only had a brake job to correct the problem...not funeral expenses, plus you can hunt this weekend.

intellicast seems to offer good weather report.
