  1. Just drove through to Olean from Greece. Snowfall was impressive in Warsaw. Flakes as big as tennis balls. Windy too. No golf today.
  2. Although I have done some research into this, I wondered if some of you have any experience with draining a small pond. Some people really recommend not disturbing/cutting into the dike, but using a siphoning system to remove most of the water, perhaps a couple 2 inch diameter pvc or flex hose of some type.. The pond was constructed 60-70 years ago is in real need of a re-dig to get built up sediment over the years. After water is drained, we endeaver to have contractor come in and clean out/deepen the pond. Thanks for whatever feedback you can give. Pond 200 feet long, 100 feet wide and now about 6 feet deep....the old timers tell me it was 12 feet when originally dug. Given we have no people available to check on a gasoline powered trash pump, a siphon system seems a viable way to go. Thanks.
  3. Congratulations! well done. I'll bring the stuffing...

    Draft

I prefer to build O-line and D-line. The next year, draft skill players that are needed. Wins will follow shortly thereafter.

    Practicing

I certainly do not practice with strong winds. I shoot inside to get things correct, then hope for a close in shot during season. If wind is a problem, and some distance involved, I would let the deer walk.

    Draft

As long as Jills pick players without a long rap sheet, I'm good.

    Draft

Hope Jills trade down for more picks.
  8. The bum... all washed up at 22...
  9. A perfectly poured, $1.00, 16 oz. draft beer in a frosty mug....perfect.
  10. Seems to me that this electric car thing will never be a huge deal. After all, various state/fed governments say that mining/using coal is bad and polluting...Fracking is bad...too much pollution...etc. I believe you have to mine the raw materials for the batteries needed for the manufacture of the batts for cars...I thought mining was bad for the environment....Never mind, Osama....I mean Obama and epa say it's OK....I guess....I'm confused...pass the wine..
  11. As a youngster, I would have the opportunity in the summer to stay at my uncles dairy farm and help out. We would always hunt woodchucks after the evening milking. That got me started.
  12. If full inclusion happens, I will still stick with my Bow-tech compound for as long as I can, and switch over to x-bow when the time comes. Those x-bows seem kind of front-end heavy to me....Haven't bought one yet...waiting for the ultra light version to come out...whenever that happens.
  13. Environmental concerns revolving around water usage and chemical use in the process...I think.
  14. May want to check with utility before attempting to till/ fertilize/ plant anything. The utility does their own maintenance along/under high lines that they own, and may not appreciate your gardening efforts on their property. I worked for a utility company and recall a few instances where we asked people not use our high line property for food plots. Liability issues....that sort of thing. I also found a few homemade tree-stands that some knuckleheads attached to high line structures...not a good idea.
  15. cattaraugus county took my old tv for nothing. Cost me a pulled muscle.
  16. Similar stuff that is in my late fathers tackle box. I guess from the late 1940's after WW II. Maybe worth something to a collector. My grandfather fished lake Erie back in the day for blue pike.
  17. Crowning touch would be a moat...and drawbridge.
  18. 1973 South Buffalo railroad. Trackman. $4.00/hr. Thought I hit the jackpot.
