Maybe trim a portion of the meat perfectly and leave a portion not trimmed perfectly, freeze 'em all up and compare the results when you cook. At least you have a basis on how to proceed with your next deer next year.

I purchased an Amana 27 cf side by side refrigerator/freezer 25 years ago when we remodeled the kitchen. Darn thing looks hideous with the harvest gold color but still runs well. I may stick with it until it finally craps out. I did buy a home depot upright freezer for black angus meat last year and is in the basement...after hearing some of these horror stories, I will pick up the pace of consuming the meat, just in case. sucks watching stuff fall apart...oh wait...that stuff is made off shore by whoever...and we flip burgers for a living....wait a minute, 15 dollars an hour to flip...everything is cool..lol.

Been in Florida a couple weeks and a lot of people around here drive like Richard Petty in his prime. I shudder to think how many accidents there are down here when the old folks show up to ride out the winter down here.

Our local ski resorts, south of Buffalo, will be screaming bloody murder if no snow making capability before Christmas. Resorts will have to fork over refunds to those who bought season passes.

The warm weather is mother natures way of balancing out the extreme brutal winters of the past 2 years. I'm ok with it.
