  1. Yeah I'm thinkin put that behind you, there's time.
  2. Sorry I left those details out! 2x50/50 Pyrodex & a Powerbelt 245hp.
  3. Got a lease in 6k near the Williamstown area. It's been good so far Bugs can be obnoxious in the summer though.
  4. Ahh sorry I missed it. Do you ever have trouble getting ammo for it?
  5. Yes comes into play, I like neck sizing dies and even with mild loads after so many I pinch the brass so to not over use them and risk a brittle cartridge.
  6. I don't think to have read mention of the underused 25-06. Amen brother. That 7pnt. I took last year would also agree.
  7. That one deer looks absolutly startled. ;D Man that's a big plot. Ever had any luck with soy or bush beans?
  8. If I manage a good buck with my reg tag then next year's early season is out - well maybe I could trade some time there for some good spring Turkey hunting eleswhere. NYBowhunter; I'm not a big fan of tracking at night either! Good recovery, glad the coyotes didn't find him 1st.
  9. Cool buck pics! Now you just need to find out where he'll be after sunup.
  10. Health ins. deduction is about 75$ every two weeks for myself and my son. If it wasn't for what the company kicks in I'm sure it would be like a car payment. The good news is sometime after next Jan. I might be able to get my daughter back on the policy even though she is 21+.
  11. Tech support for a tax compliant software co. Sounds riveting huh? It's actually been a good job 10+ years running.
  12. Excellent show guys! Those will be with you forever, good hunting!
  13. I might learn to like this Muzzleloader Had to pass on another 4 - he was a week early. Sunday I passed on a doe because a yearling was with her, figgured thats them breaks & this is her lucky day because I had an antlerless burning a hole in my back. Monday morning was great, started off with a breif shower before sunrise to quite the leaves. But nothing was moving. Packed up for home and figgured why not go for an evening run then leave. It was like a capet of potato chips with all the leaves so I tried the turkey call trick getting out to the stand. This doe showed up about 5:30. Funny thing - I shot her about 5 yards from where I took my 1st deer this year with the bow. I like that stand.
  14. 3rd Deer for the year - on the new lease - with the new Wolf 209 Took her Monday, yes I know the dang camera has the wrong date.
  15. Slugger09; Good hunting! how about some details? 132 eight pointer; Nice shot! What broadhead did you use?
  16. Well guys the forcast seems to be changing every few hours, keep any eye on it. Might be able to salvage the later 1/2 of Sat., with the rain & frickin wind kicking down.
  17. Sometimes I think about what it takes to just go hunting, plus the camping set up, prep & supplies and it can be alot to take in. But the sum of it is a lure & passion that I live for. Vipertech; hope you see some activity, I mean even if you don't get a shot - I think it's all about being out there and getting to enjoy nature.
  18. 6 hours - I thought over 2 was bad, and that's if I'm up in 6k and decide to hit 7R. More power to ya.
  19. I don't mean to side track this thread, but Culvercreek; lets say someone was to buy that solar charger and a decent marine battery, are you talking about powering an inverter or dc lights etc? Because right now if I want to recharge the radio batteries I have to run the jeep w/inverter for an hour. And yeah right now it's hunting out of a tent but next year I'm going for a small pull behind camper to set up at camp.
  20. None. And imo generaly you guys are waisting your money. I do use the scent killer bar soap, but realy because I just want a basic soap to shower with without added scents / perfumes. That and a bit of baking soda for clothes. If you do good at keeping household, garage, restaraunt, oil based scents off yourself & your gear then that is more than 1/2 the battle and you don't have to douche yourself with more nonsence. Not impressed with any of those sprays companys want me to become dependant upon.
  21. Oh sure, great view, lanes, and the tracks, pellets don't lie. Heck toss in a rub not to far away. One night I spotted two sets of eyes with a flashlight near there, but I'd like to think at some point I could be there at the right time. Damn it. Well, it's sticks & a hang on so it wouldn't be that much trouble to take down, could use the climber there. But why would I want to do that when I could just use the climber elsewhere? Because on your own place it's nice to have a few perm stands to climb into for one. They have to be moving through there, just when I wonder. Might have to invest into a pair of cams.
