  1. I have the buddy heater - lets see if I can post my review with tapatalk
  2. Name it Moe. Because people want to know moe.
  3. Kind of felt bad liking those pics. I keep some whisky at camp for such occasions
  4. A lot is going to depend upon how much you want to pack in. If you have room I'd recommend one of those mini single burner stoves that sits on top of a one pound propane tank, with a base of course. A small perculator bunch of coffee, some canned fruit salad, you can put it in Ziploc bags doubled up. Bunch of sliced ham is always good and it keeps a while. You can pick up deli meats and do the same thing with the Ziploc bags, just considering conserving packing space. Maybe even some kielbasa or bratwurst.
  5. Replying on my samsung galaxy ace. Android. Doesn't suck. Using Tapatalk, with voice.
  6. It feels wrong to 'like' a picture of 2' of snow. Good thing I winterized camp ahead of time.
  7. I would agree with that if your using the thicker non-adhesive pocket - hand warmers. But the thinner adhesive toe warmers don't get that hot.
  8. Not a scary story, but when the first snow storm hits at camp it can be a little unnerving at first.
  9. Kind of off topic but here's a toe-toastie trick. 1 pair for each foot, two pair of socks and good insulated boots. With 3 pair of socks my feet are to tight and thaty just doesn't work. Anyhow; with one pair take one and put it on the top of your sock near your toes, not the bottom. Take another and put it right below your ankle by the heel. Do the same on your other foot. Second pair of socks over those. Check it out it works great. Edit to add; some of the cheaper off brand warmers just plain suck.
  10. Someone explain to me what a 'Deer's' is. Nevermind, I'll be at camp with whisky.
  11. You might want to read the ingredients label on some of those so called 'sports-energy' drinks these days.
  12. Good find. I would say making sure they're getting decent light with the clearing is a good start. Watch for any tent caterpillar nests. Im not sure about the pine - hemlock close by, I mean they could decrease ph. You coulod try nitrogen spikes but make sure they are the right ones in moderation. http://homeguides.sfgate.com/kind-fertilizer-use-apple-trees-49268.html
  13. SZ hunt at a friends camp - 6pnt 25 yards.
  14. I'm having one of those days where - got to wonder with all the kids grown up why it is, I stay in this d|(& sore welfare state.
  15. Cams are no guarantee that deer will be there when you are. On the flip side the encouragement you sometimes find on them is no guarantee they'll be there when your there either.
  16. I have a Mossberg semi-22lr tube fed through stock - circa 1937.
  17. I have my camper on the property, been there for a while now. It's on jack stands tires off the ground all leveled. There going back on next year because I want to turn it around. No utilities, but I do have about 400 watt solar array enough for refrigeration, lights, charging power tools etc. It's not an overly expensive set-up. I mean if a tree fell on the trailer that would suck but a few grand and I'd be back up and running. My closest neighbor has a small cabin on his jazz, we each have about 50 acres, but his taxes are about 40% higher.
  18. I'm thinking whatever .. JustRob ever browse AT?

    tinks 69

You guys ever have one of those 1/2 used little bottles open up on you walking to the stand? That's bad news. Something about buying wizz seems wrong you know but I catch myself trying the stuff now and then if anything for a cover scent. Tried that new tinks spray jazz this year, it was quiet and seemed to last, didn't seem to make a difference though.
  20. NZ - There ain't no hell. SZ - The hell their ain't.
