    My Aussie had it too. Went from acting a little odd to very similar to what you experienced. He made a full recovery, back to his old frisbee catching, quad chasing self within a month. Edit: Weirdly it was right around this time of year too.

    Bass looks more like maple bark. That is definitely Ash. You know it's bass when your saw falls right through it with very little resistance. Ash can get pretty flipping big, we have this monstrous old ash that, somehow, is still hanging on to life that would take 4 grown men linking arms to get around. I'm loathe to cut it down, though I know the borer is going to kill it soon.

    First couple days back at work were...... Not fun. Finally got a Physical Therapist that I like, and it's made all the difference. After my first session with him it felt like I really turned a corner. Went from hobbling everywhere to walking almost normally. Quad muscle is working, sleeping in my bed, not taking any pain meds. Next goal is to get back on the elliptical. Getting fat(ter).

    Was planning on bringing my wife, bought a second ticket for her. Only thing that concerns me is she'll get bored. I know at least one guy going, but 5 hours is a long time for a lady to hang out.

    They did compete against elite teams this year. I definitely wouldn't say it's a "boatload" for them to get in the mix. Lot of Rookie mistakes in that playoff loss.
