    So far doing anything else rather than watching the Sabres games would be better. Yawn, same old boring team. Betting we sign Emery by the end of the week. I look at the DirecTV bill as another bill like gas, electric or necessities. We watch a lot of different channels and just bite the bullet on the bill. Could we survive without it, sure but we chose not to. We did cut back movie channels to only HBO from all of them last year. They run enough "free weekends" on the others so we'll load them up recording them.

    Bummer ! Guess my steel is staying in the basement this year. May hunt some coyotes with the electric caller but that's about it

    Can anybody confirm the crappy forecast of fur prices this year ? Heard basically $0 on coon Rats and mink about $2 K9's in $teens

    Always love snow as my snow camo is by far my favorite. Have Cabelas snow camo jacket, pants, face mask, hat, gloves. If I'm not wearing that I'll wear whatever accordingly to the weather in layers or not.

    I always use a muff. No gloves needed. I'll stuff a handwarmer or two in it. I don't like wearing gloves. Heck, I snow blow without them too . Go the muff idea IMO

    You're fishing the mouth of the Catt ? Lakeside off the wall ? Used to do that a lot . Just text my buddy if he's heard how it's been there. Nothing better than hooking one and having it get aerial on you. Nothing worse than slipping off those giant slippery algae covered rocks trying to net a fish. Umm, not that I've done that

    I'd get that pic printed and given to her asap. Too many great moments aren't printed and just sit on a smartphone or camera. Congrats to her !!

    Enjoy !! FYI Watch your data uploading, internet on phone and checking emails on smartphone if you're using it. Rogers network gets pretty costly !!

    Hunt 9H in Bliss area about a good mile up a mountain. I catch thermals all the time. Always have to reposition myself in the ladder stand on which way I'm facing. Makes for a rough time in the climber

    I have the opportunity to buy UnderArmour hunting clothes just recently at 25 % below cost. All their stuff is scent free which totally jacks up the cost. All I want is some good warm stuff and not have to pay for the BS "scent free " included in the cost

    As I read this I'm eating banana peppers (the last from our garden) stuffed with venison sausage, taco cheese and cream cheese ,wrapped in bacon from the smoker from last night. No snow in the forecast here

    Darien Lake State park. And good god does it get pounded. There will be 30+ vehicles parked there on Rte 77 and Rte 20 parking lots opening morning. and for the amount of acreage that's a lot of guys . Special permit needed I'm pretty sure. I wouldn't feel safe hunting out there with all those yahoos.

    FYI we rent a lot of movies from our local library . I think it may cost a .25 to request one from another branch and have it delivered to your branch. Movies are as update as your local rent a movie place. It's a dollar per day per late fee but get movie(s) for a week. can renew online for another week if need be.

    I could see bow hunting to have it's advantage of 'scent free" more so than gun hunting. I'm guilty of smoking a cigarette or two in my stand. Would I kill more deer by not doing so, probably . I've shot a nice doe after having to put my smoke down. Wind is key. Figure I'm not going to see anything downwind of me anyhow so concentrate on what's in front of me. I'll wash all my hunting clothes prior to season and that's about it. After a few days I'm sure they stink but I'm one not to overthink "scent free"

    Have you busted any flocks ? Know their patterns where to and where from they are patterning ? What "sounds " are you making ? What are they saying ? I primarily hunt spring birds only but brother used to be very avid fall hunter.
