  1. This is usually the case unless you find a older bucks home. Very rarely do I find buck sign up high until the end of October. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. No, it’s not Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Jay I know it’s early but you’re crazy!!!! Hard to age him with the girth but I would bet money he’s 3 or 4 yrs old! Not many can say they’re first bow buck was a mature one and he’s definitely mature. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. The 65yr old 35rem is ready to go! 75yr rapid fire free hand group. Now we just need an old buck to make a mistake! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Might find ammo that has a softer primer but with an exposed hammer you should have more than enough spring to dent a primer. Most talk about light primer strikes with shotguns is with trap guns with very light triggers. If the spring and pin don’t fix it I would ditch the gun or just use it for small game where a miss fire isn’t the end of the world Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Is it the new midland? Light primer strikes are well known problem with them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Can’t wait! Doing our annual rolling tire shoot today to warm up for the weekend. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Sounds like a spot I would only hunt evenings. I won’t hunt a spot that I have to walk through a field in the morning. Bump them a couple times before you know it they’re in their bedding area well before light. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. 31deg nw wind 5-7 in 5J, feels Deery but really can’t shoot one today because truck is packed for the trip north. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Never bring food to a stand but when I’m hunting the big woods I always have one of these in my pocket. Almost 2000calories instant boost of energy and they’re delicious! Also if I bump a buck and want to sit down and wait half an hr trying to chew these when it’s cold takes a long time! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. On a side not the poor bowhunter is probably on a different forum right now bitching about the damn small game hunter that walked under his stand 17 times back and forth to his car because he couldn’t figure out what gun to carry. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Yea just what we need more senseless regulations. I’m still saying this poor Bowhunter wouldn’t have to worry about any of this if the illegal, legal or scumbag small game hunter wouldn’t have been hunting small game on the trail he was trying to deer hunt. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I shoot a 275gn Barnes .452 bullet in a harvestor sabot with 209 powder. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Yea, no thanks. I don’t want any bullet designed to break apart for killing game animals. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I’ll be honest I’ve read the entire thread and I don’t have a frigging clue what you’re asking. Like most of your threads you go in circles and get pretty annoying, although somewhat entertaining. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. This might be the best topic of the 2018 deer season! I have nothing of any value to add to it other than I don’t call people Scum bags based on a lot of assumptions. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. About 10yrs ago I shot a doe with fawns on oct 15, heard her crash waited an hr went looking for her and she had 2 fawns trying to nurse while she layed there dead. I had to chSe the fawns away to gut her, after that it’s just something I don’t want to do. I ask won’t shoot a doe with a fawn because I don’t like seeing the fawns walk around aimlessly for the rest of the season. I’m sure they survive fine but I don’t need meat bad enough to shoot a doe with a fawn. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. On the right day at the right time and if the right buck hears it’s a sure bet! I have had awesome luck blind rattling and I have had bucks turn and run from it. Haven’t been able to put my thumb on the why it works so well some times and not at all others. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I wash my clothes when I smell them in regular detergent. I was my hair with regular shampoo and my ass with regular soap. It’s impossible to trick a deers nose just easy to trick hunters into opening their wallets. That being said if going through a scent control regiment helps your confidence and keeps you in the stand longer, it’s working and don’t change a thing! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Can’t believe nothing moving this morning, brother and I both sat out best stands with perfect winds and no deet Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Back to my original post mini 30 doesn’t have the ability to go end for end of a deer so it doesn’t make my list. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I wouldn’t do it!!!!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Depends my guy, a cousins cousin does a fine job and charges me 50$ I do it myself sometimes but others I just don’t want to or don’t have time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Just imagine what another year would do! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. wise doesn’t mean intelligent, it means you’ve done enough dumb shit to learn our lessons. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
