I almost made a big mistake on that spike tonight, watched him coming for 150yds he had his head down feeding toward me the entire time got to 20 broadside I was drawing and he picked his head up and looked behind him and I saw the spikes. That would have ruined my bow season! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Fps, How much of a different from 18" to 26 " barrel ?
Buckmaster7600 replied to Hunter007's topic in General Chit Chat
Accuracy is not effected by barrel length, velocity depends on brand of slug, some will be affected more than other. Shotgun powder is often the same as pistol powders that makes barrel length not have as much affect. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Depends on the rain, light drizzle no problem hard rain not worth the risk. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I’ve had double bulls out for 5 years year round. 1 has a small tear from a tree falling on it but other than that they are still standing just a little faded. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My last truck I bought with 4K miles on it the same model year payed cash, kept if for 34 months and not counting taxes and dmv fees they gave me 4700$ less than I payed on trade with 37000 miles on it and more than it’s share of wear and tear! Never did any maintenance other than oil changes. It worked out to like 125$ a month, i haven’t found a lease anywhere near that for a F250 but if I did I would probably lease. I refuse to lease, I feel it’s a terrible waste of money. Yes it’s cheaper payments but you don’t have anything at the end of the 3 years. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I’ve hunted them in Florida, Georgia and South Carolina. I’ve killed a bunch of them, if they’re over 50lbs give them away or leave them for the coyotes. Never hunted one over bait just free range. Florida was the best hunting I’ve found, lots of public land and plenty of hogs. If you’re doing it to fill the freezer, shoot a round of 3D then stop at the grocery store it will taste way better. If you want quality meat find a local pig farmer that sells hogs to individuals and it will be the best pork you’ll ever eat. If you want to have fun and shoot some hogs than have at it it’s a blast. Touching off a 12ga slug from a 4lb gun isn’t on my to do list. I have handled a couple of the midlands and if they ever come through with their promise of making multiple barrels I’ll likely own one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I wear sunglasses either on my face of my hat when ever I’m in the woods never bothered any critter, I did have a hen turkey peck them one time while Crawling up to a tom Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I shoot a huge peep, I can’t remember what size I bought but I drilled it out as big as I felt comfortable going I want to say I used a 3/8” bit. I don’t care about hitting a select hair I want to be able to hit vitals at 30yds at the last second of legal light, Ohio we have 1/2hr before and after sunset. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

So whats a "shooter" buck.... For you.
Buckmaster7600 replied to Robhuntandfish's topic in Deer Hunting
Flat ground and Adirondacks goes together like oil and water. I’ve hunted from the southern edge of the adks to the st Lawrence sea way and from Vermont to Lake Ontario and there just isn’t to much flat ground. If flat ground is a pre requisite I suggest heading to St Lawrence county. It’s the northern edge of the adks and there are some big flat state land areas. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Buckmaster7600 replied to Robhuntandfish's topic in Deer Hunting
The deer means nothing to me the hunt means everything. I would rather track and kill a spike in the snow in the Adirondacks than kill a 10pt from a tree stand on my property. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Who carries a handgun while hunting?

Yea I can’t say the same, I know it’s the law but... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Shooting a mechanical Broadhead to make up for a poorly tuned bow is the absolute worst advice you can give. Mechanicals take more energy to open and penetrate than a cut on contact and if your bow isn’t properly tuned you’re loosing energy by not having your nock directly behind the head. I can shoot any cut on contact 100gn head with my setup from the biggest 4 blades to the big 2 blades and be very very close to the same poi. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Buckmaster7600 replied to pitweiler's topic in Guns and Rifles and Discussions
Usually a lcp380 in my pocket. Sometimes a Ruger sr9C or A Glock 26,43 or 29 sometimes some other stuff but usually it’s just the lcp. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

I do but have it has nothing to do with the woods and everything to do with walking out to my truck with an unloaded rifle. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
