    New York is in a very tough spot for everyone other than the libs/die hard dems. We have an extremely weak Republican Party. Molinaro was a terrible candidate and many myself included voted 3rd party. I think the only chance we will ever have in getting our state back is with a 3rd party candidate.     My opinion wouldn’t be worth it. A used axis is worth 200$ it will cost more than that for the barrel. Unless you’re going to a wildcat or cartridge you can’t get a rifle in. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Ever shot a low powered scope with an illuminated reticle with a true 1x or very close to it with both eyes open at moving game? “Biden aiming concepts” is what he pros call it. Truly makes target acquisition much faster with an illuminated dot than using crosshairs even heavy ones. If I’m still hunting/ tracking with a scoped rifle it has an illuminated reticle. It’s worth toting the extra few ounces. I’ve shot thousands and thousands of rounds with an illuminated reticle when I was in the service and it is 100% an asset for my style of hunting. For the average tree stand hunter and as it pertains to this topic an illuminated reticle actually hurts you in low light shooting because it makes it more difficult to see your target because of the light in the way.     Have had a rough few days in the big woods, bucks seem to be laying low with minimal sign. Found some does yesterday and a cow moose today I hunted a place I haven’t been since I was a kid a little over an hr drive from my camp and it was much the same for the deer saw a doe and fawn and that was it, no buck sign at all in the higher elevation. On my way up I saw 2 cows and a calf moose and on the way down I saw the bull. So far in the big woods this year I’ve walked 97 miles let 2 bucks go let 1 bear go and have saw 7 moose. 2 more days up here before I have to head back to civilization for a few dad duties.     Wood, I own a bunch of both but much prefer wood. I have never worried about scratches or scrapes in a stock because they add character. Nothing screws up a track or still hunting like the noise of a twig snapping against a plastic stock! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Another thing to add my whole camp is wired for 12 volt, all my lights “other than our propane backups” a group 29 marine battery runs my camp for 7 days during deer season. Nice thing i did was add a cigarette lighter by all the beds to charge phones or electronics. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    We have 18k is my camp it’s 24x24, built with 2nd hand trusses and siding. Everything inside other than materials was bought used except my mattress. Water is ran off 12 volt pump, I dug a point well for water with hand pump to a barrel that runs to sick. Barrel is Plumbed into ground for draining when not there. Outhouse for when nature calls.     I don’t know what the rating is but I wear the alpha’s I think they’re called when it gets cold, if the aren’t enough the Mickey Mouse boots come out but that’s very rare and never for hunting season just ice fishing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
