Not a sling guy either but always have a piece of 550 cord with loops tied on both ends to slip over barrel and stock to sling gun for climbing in stands and dragging purposes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If there’s a hole in the circled area from a shot other than mine and the shooter comes before I tag it its his deer. In my opinion with a gun if there’s a hole in that area it’s fatal an arrow there may be a little more grey area but I’ll stick to the same guideline. I don’t care how big it is or isn’t it’s their deer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Everyone’s drive to hunt is different, some are ok with being casual hunters others go crazy if they miss a sit. I am a selfish Ahole, and I have a very bad all or nothing attitude. I chose my career and many other life decisions based on my 2 favorite hobbies hunting and fishing. Thank god for my mother that is retired and lives next door to help with my daughter, thankfully moms very accustomed to hunting season antics from my old man. I’ve been on vacation since oct 1 and don’t go back until the 18th of December. Hunted all but 4 days this year. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Apples to oranges comparison, the reason I told you to avoid those for big woods hunting is because of shot selection, big woods you take what you can get, have no fear of them getting off the property/by someone else. I want 2 holes and blood to track if I shoot them I’m the ass chest or back legs. If I’m hunting at home in a tree stand I’m usually using a 357 maximum or a 10mm pistol Because I can be very selective on shots taken. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sorry but this has got to be said! Coming from someone whom I would bet has shot very few deer if any at all and whom chooses to hunt with a 4lb smooth bore 12ga with a bead sight your opinion means very little to anyone on here. Anyone whom has done it for more than a day knows accuracy trumps “power” and putting one in the boiler room is what matters. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Even if it wasn’t my buddy, if I see a badly wounded deer and I don’t have a tag the deer will be killed. I can find a tag. If I get caught I’ll pay the fine with a smile knowing my conscience is clean! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Light weight ar in 223/5.56. Pinned mag “f*ck you Andy” polymer lower thin contour 16” barrel. 2-7 scope. No bipods, unless you’re hunting open prairie and shooting 300+yds they’re not worth it. That’s my rig and I love it, Leopold VX2 ultralight 2-7x28. Under 6lbs and handy as hell easy to tote all day and shoots 1.5 moa with the jewel trigger. Killed a pile of yotes and other critters with it. Got under a grand in it all together. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Ding ding ding!!!!! I’m not getting involved in this black hole of a thread but I will say I’ve killed deer with a 222- 500S&W and I’ll say if efficiency in killing is the number one factor give me a mid bore 25-35cal from 2700-3000fps. By far I’ve tracked deer farther when shot from 45-70’s than I have from a 270 and I’ve shot piles with both. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

First fatal shot, in your scenario it’s your friends buddy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Disagree, I frequently hunt deer that have likely never saw a human before and they’re just as wary as deer that see humans daily. I think hunters give themselves way more credit than deserved when it comes to effecting a deers life. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My cynergy was a total impulse buy never knew I wanted one until I saw it and bought it. Problem is it’s synthetic and camo and now I want a traditional looking ou! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

No idea about DB, but I can tell you that you don’t need any clamp to assemble AR lowers. I assembled a ton of them in my Barack’s room when I had my ffl all you need is needle nose pliers and a couple punches. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Peep sight 35rem, semi wouldn’t have helped that was the only hole I had, was only 300yds from the truck wasn’t tired at all. Only thing I could have done better was not be surprised so much but I had no indication the buck was going to bed down. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
