  1. Welcome aboard, we're a bit dysfunctional but most everyone on here are good folks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Ever eatin bear? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. You shooting a release? When I was in the service I worked as the range safety officer on the base archery range and the amount of bows I saw that were "professionally tuned" that I had them shoot through a piece of paper and the bows weren't even close to being tuned. Where do you live maybe I can help you? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. My point is, if a weapon is capable of holding a good group at 150yds there is nothing the rifle has to do with a group going away after 150. A group going away that fast most likely is the shooter, and could be the bullet. The reason everyone doesn't buy cheapo' is quality/consistency. The days of having to spend a lot of money to get an accurate gun are long gone. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Good luck! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. There was no assumption in you acting like a child. In my first post on this I think I started with "sweet looking rig." I hope it offers you many years of enjoyment, and if not I was serious in that it would be perfect for my daughter if you're looking to get rid of it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. No need to justify any of it with any of us, I have cabinets full of bad gun purchases. When someone offers their experience and you act like a child it opens the door... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. That has everything to do with shooter/projectile and absolutely nothing to do with what it's coming out of. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I don't understand how it is as accurate as the TC out to 150? What happens after that? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. If it makes you feel any better, this morning some idiot dropped a brand new "still zip tied together" set of climbing sticks out of the bucket of the tractor and ran over them. I couldn't even get mad, my daughter got a good laugh at my expense. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. So you take a 600$ hit in the ballz on a 7.5lb semi 06 then buy a 6.5lb 308 and post it on the same place you sold the 06 because it hurt you. Then get butt hurt when people who likely have way more experience than you let you know that you probably didn't go in the right direction if recoil is a concern. Hey, if this one kicks too hard and you wanna take another 600$ shot to the ballz let me know I have been looking for a light 308 for my 9yr old daughter. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Yea, but I have no desire to go that route. Recoil becomes insane and long barrels are long and both of those are deal breakers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Slick tricks, I've killed over 30 deer with them and have yet to have an issue that I can blame on the head. One of the few nice things about being stationed down south is I was able to kill a ton of deer and that gave me the chance to try a bunch of different broadheads. I will most likely will never shoot another deer with a mechanical head after what I have saw. The "mechanical no tuning necessary" comments truly make me cringe! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Haha[emoji1531] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Unless you have some other issue, bent broadhead, light spine, etc. a bow that is properly tuned will not shoot a field point different than a broadhead. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. That's a cool looking rig. Does it have a mag or floor plate? I would probably still be hunting with Kimber Adirondack if it had a magazine. Break or not 6.5lb 308 will still kick unless downloading with light bullets. My custom shop model 7 308 is downright uncomfortable to shoot and that's with a break. I cut the break off because It was too loud and I'm not wearing ear plugs while hunting. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Look on the bright side, at leAst you weren't in it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. From what the officer I talked to yesterday at the fair said you're incorrect you still have to have proof of sex, that being said it was from "a" horses mouth and a different officer may have a different idea. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Wing shootin ain't my forte either. I have spent a lot of time shooting clays this summer and I got a sweet new auto blaster in hopes of upping my game. As much as I hate long barrels I have learned that a 18" barrel isn't ideal for shooting flyin critters. After last years crow hunting debacles I looked in the cabinet and have well over 20 shotguns and not 1 with a barrel over 22" other than single shots. This new fine Italian piece I bought now ought to killem and cookem for what I got into it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. At the fair tonight I got the info from "A" horses mouth. After a 10 minute discussion we ended at this, antlers don't work for proof of sex, if you leave the "carcass" in the woods you must keep proof of sex with the meat as well as a tag. If making multiple trips keep the tag with you. I'm still waiting on the email I sent the other day but this is what I have so far. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. It's legal, I avoid anything that is dependent on a battery for hunting. If there is anything I learned in 8 years in the military it is that batteries/ electronics fail at the worst possible times. I only deer hunt 50-60 days a year and spend all that time waiting for that few glorious seconds and don't want it ruined by a battery/electronic failing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I went through a bad case of target panic this year, I got a hinge release and worked on form. I am shooting better than I ever have. One big change I have maid is limiting my shooting. I used to shoot for an hr a night I have went to shooting 3-10 arrows a day and never more than 1 arrow at a time. Making 1 perfect shot is more important than putting a group of 6 on the target. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I shoot a very big pin, you have to "lolly pop" the sight with a 6 o'clock hold. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. As are mine, I have been trying to remember if u washed them at the beginning of last year or not. I'll give them the old smell check in a couple weeks and see if they got another year in them on this washing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. You should volunteer for he dec? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
