I would say any deer 3.5 and under you will see very little improvement from aging. One thing said though aging deer properly will never make it worse.

The experts covered my favorites, Farm Hillstead, Foam, Alchemist and Burlington. Check when they are open though Farm is always closed when I am up there.

Call me crazy but the inner loins have never been my favorite. I like the back straps and heart better. I will say though they are better if you just pop them out yourself if you use a butcher. That way you can clean/trim em up right and quick. They are the most susceptible piece of meat to contamination and/or drying out.

Florida fishing and NY fishing two different things completely. Let me know when you catch a steelhead in FL! I could do FL Jan through end of April but it would not be my first choice and sure as heck would hate to be there in the summer.

I have 2 other smokers so this small one is just handy for general use. When I need 6 butts going I use the bigger ones.

Good luck out there! I am already thinking it will be too buggy and leafy and that I am a poor excuse at turkey hunting and will enjoy my one morning I may get out in poor turkey habitat lol!! Pulled a tick out of my arm yesterday after taking down a tree stand. And was fighting off mosquitoes while grilling last night. Its been warm one day wth!

Fried gator that was super. Then did a marinated flank steak on the grill. It was ok but doubt I’d ever get one again as the price is equal to or more than strip and it isn’t close to as good.
