  1. Government has too much control these days!! Used to be very easy!!
  2. Never did it as a kid, we had no turkeys. Over the past few years I get out here and there. Never once been before first light though! lol The three biggest issues. 1. I don't have access to any woods with fields which seems to be the ticket. 2. I am no good at it. 3. I can't get my ass out of bed at 4 am like I can for 3 months of deer!!
  3. Big bowl of Rock Shrimp about to go down into the old bay! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  5. My son is 13 and pretty small so I decided to go with a mid size. All the new ones now are just huge. This should cover us for a couple years till he is bigger and we really see if we really need anything bigger or newer. Just light work pulling deer, tree stands, chainsaws and gear... Him goofing around.... I only have 12 acres here. If I get more land and plan to do heavy work I'll get another. For a quarter to a third of the price of a new one and the primo condition it is in I'm happy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Well went another direction and picked up a used Rancher for a good price. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  15. Set alarm for 5 and just couldn't do it this sinus infection has got me coughing so much I would clear out the woods! Finally got up about 8:30 and prepped a pork butt and tossed it in the smoker. Grabbed my gear and a handfull of cough drops. Just slipped in behind the in laws hoping to get lucky. I thought I heard one gobble way the heck off. But other than that it's peaceful. Hopefully tomorrow morning I will get my son out before dawn. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Good luck man!! I'll be out Sunday with my 13 year old son. His first hunt as well. I was outa town last two weekends. I also do not know what I am doing turkey hunting either!! I have dabbled but never serious or out before light, or roosted birds night before..... At least you know where some birds are roosting lol!! I have a spot behind the inlaws that they have been seeing turkeys over the last 2 weeks so I may try to sneak in tonight with a crow call and see where they are roosting if not we may just go in cold.
  17. Thanks again for sharing Robin!! Your thread is one of my favorites on here. Enjoying life and the outdoors.

  19. About time! I am so sick of seeing piddling fines for poachers. Heck the antlers or meat could be sold for more than the fine in a lot of cases!..... It is not perfect but a step in the right direction.
  20. If she gets home before you, you could have them ready in foil and she can toss in the oven an hour before you get home then you just need to finish them on the grill.

Seeing how the two of us like our beer I am not thinking the beer would be in it long enough for a proper test!! lol

I have ogled these for years but the price tag always held me back. I got a Mammoth cooler over the winter as a gift that is supposed to be like the Yetti. Price tag is about the same. I am dying to put it to the test.
