I didn't realize they were the same person. He lives around the corner from me and he is a really good guy. Went to a local gun auction with him. I don't understand his politics, but he does a lot of work with getting kids into shooting sports etc. My nephew was going to go to one of his classes before all the covid BS started.

Would still like those numbers to come up some.....another 10% would be great....

Revenant, Everyone is entitled to their own political view. If you believe Biden/Harris will better your life and better America. That is who you should be supporting. I would love to hear how you think that will happen if you ever want to have a discussion about it. I am truly curious how any middle class American can think that but am never afraid of a new point of view.

@Revenant There isn't a state that you can purchase a firearm from that you don't go through a NICS check. NICS provides service to 30 States and the rest of the states do their own NICS check. So the check that you agree with is already happening. You can just google NICS check and it gives you all the information. What this bill will do is create a registry for firearm purchases. In every country that has ever had a registration, confiscation came next. I believe in the 2nd amendment. But I also believe that a person shouldn't be able to get out of jail for a violent crime, go to a gun store and make a purchase. The NICS check prevents this from happening. The 2nd amendment is a right. Not a government privilege. You lose your privilege when you become a felon. Both your right to vote and own a firearm. 99.9% of the gun violence in this country caused by gang bangers battling for drug turf. These people are not going to a gun store and purchasing a firearm. I have no idea how or where they are coming from. I assume from illegal gun runners but it isn't from a legal source. This bill will do nothing for the main problem and will once again put restrictions on law abiding gun owners. These bills have nothing to do with curbing gun violence and everything to do with making owning a gun a privilege. Do you trust the government to decide whether or not you need a firearm? What make and model of firearm?

I was completely disgusted watching that yesterday. I watched from about 3 until the end and my blood was boiling....He couldn't get a word in edge wise but the few times he did, he was able to lay a great smack down. It was disgusting....

I don't know if I could choose if I had to pick one person to dedicate my season too. My cousin was drunk and fighting with his girlfriend when he was 18. He played Russian roulette to scare her or teach her a lesson or something, still not sure exactly what but he lost. He was like my big brother. I looked up too him and he made me love all the things l love today. Boating, snowmobiling, corvettes, 4 wheelers. Not sure how he never killed me in his Dads (my uncles) Corvette but I loved every second of it. Its been 35 years and I still think about him all the time. My Grandfather....He was a man of few words and when he spoke you listened. Fished in his pond and got my Dad into the hunting camp that I was always at when I was a kid. Wish I could have learned more about hunting from him but he passed before I was old enough to legally deer hunt. But I was at camp a lot and always loved having him there. Anyone that picked on the kid would get a look from him. Same one I would get..if I was misbehaving....lol Seemed to scare the adults as much as me.. My Dad. My Dad was only a casual deer hunter. He enjoyed camp and the guys more than the hunting. He is still with me thankfully but he hasn't hunted in years. He doesn't get around very well. He is the first call I make when I am lucky enough to get something. Text him while I am on stand, send him pics. He loves the stories of my day on the way home etc.... I think about all three of them while I am hunting and throughout most days....

Actually, it didn't feel like much at all. I knew I hit something but never dreamed it would be that bad. Was thinking prop and maybe a broken lower drive or broken keel. Didn't know until I pulled the boat out that it was totally destroyed....

Stainless doesn't mangle the way aluminum does. If it was aluminum I am sure it would be totally mangled....Its bent and has a bunch of dents in the blades...

Well the boat is at the shop. They are going to get it right in. Spoke to my insurance company and I only have a $250 deductible. Can't believe I set it that low but I'm not going to complain about it now. The boat shop didn't think my boating summer would be over. So, so far, all good news...Fingers crossed that I only miss 1 weekend....

For somereason the prop looks good in that pic but it is pretty trashed. That is a stainless Mercury Enertia prop that I really wanted and paid out the A$$ for. Hopefully it will be replaced or rebuilt.

Well, after 30+ years of boating I never thought I would be that guy....but it happened. I ripped off my lower unit on Sacandaga Lake yesterday. For any of you that know the lake I was leaving Sand Island heading to Lakeside for dinner. There is a marked channel that takes you around the hazards to get back there. I have done it numerous times. Well yesterday I had my friends 9 year old daughter on my lap. I point out a red buoy and tell her we need to find the green one and stay between them. I ask her if she sees a green buoy and she doesn't and neither do I. I say, ok so we will hug the red buoy and we'll be fine and find the next set. As I get close to the buoy I realize it isn't a buoy, but its one of those garden flamingos stuck through a boat bumper. Just as I was thinking, wow that's weird. Bang boom bam....Someone marked a rock with it....Had some awful nice people tow me to a marina not far away and take me around the lake to my truck and trailer. Great way to ruin what was a great day. I can't believe how destroyed the lower unit is. I was probably doing 30ish MPH. I am wondering if it will total the boat. I have to go talk to my insurance company today. Just being thankful that nobody was hurt and the kids stayed calm etc....

I have tons of crap gear. One of these days I am going to bit the bullet and get something good. I'll be interested to hear what you think of these pants....
