  1. I thought that too Pygmy. Now I have the theme song stuck in my head, dammit.
  2. There might just be a correlation here. I always loved school, because they were days off from doing real work. Kids today think that school is work.
  3. A lot has changed over the years. But the satisfaction of doing a hard days' work, properly, remains. A good dinner, shared with people you can trust with your life, and a couple of snorts of good whiskey at the end, mean a lot. I wouldn't trade it for a pair of loafers and a monogrammed briefcase, but that's just me.
  4. I vividly remember being knocked on my butt by a haybale coming onto the wagon when I was about eight years old or so. My Italian grandfather picked my scrawny a** up and said, "Now you pay attention?". I've never turned my back on a farm implement, or animal, since. I still do a fair amount of Ag work, mostly mowing, with the computerized machines that don't miss a single sprig of alfalfa. And I still don't turn my back on those machines.
  5. What do you think about the intentional lack of war against Islamist terrorism? Is ignoring reality a virtue? Bush screwed up, and Obama screwed up by doubling down on Bush's screw-up. It's called politics. But we finally have a clear-thinking President who doesn't give a sh*t about politics. I fully support him.
  6. I'm just glad to hear that everyone's alright.
  7. If Mr. Trump walked on water, the haters would complain and say that he can't swim. Trump is completely prepared for these kinds of arguments, and he knows better than to spend much time or energy on them. What pi***es the left off most is that they're being officially ignored.
  8. One thing that needs to be understood is that Donald Trump doesn't need the presidency. He could sit on a beach or play golf, comfortably, for the rest of his life, without a care in the world. He's doing this for the sake of the country that allowed him to be in that position, and he's doing it for us. For all of us. And he's literally willing to risk his life to do it. This is from 1988, almost thirty years ago:
  9. Half of the 'celebrity class' in the world is scrambling to get invitations. The Trump people are turning them away in favor of the commoners who actually matter.
  10. And the leftists continue their learning curve as well. Theirs is a downward curve though. Corey Booker made what amounted to a presidential stump speech during the hearing for Jeff Sessions' nomination, and Keith Ellison is being considered for DNC chair. Are there any thinking Dems out there? (My apologies. Putting the word 'thinking' in the same sentence with Democrats is unfair.)
  11. Rule number one is: don't screw around. Assess the situation quickly, and if you decide you have to shoot, shoot to kill. You will probably have less than two seconds.
  12. Made from old chainsaw chains. I would think they're pretty good steel, and they definitely look nice. Then again I don't know crap about fancy knives.
  13. You've made it quite clear that your goal is to disrupt the democratic processes in this country. Note that I said democratic with a small 'd', which is very different from the capital 'D' of socialism. It's also quite clear that you're promoting general Anarchy as a legitimate form of government for the U.S. Most Americans don't accept that position, but carry on...
  14. Lots of possible reasons. I finished a basement a few years ago that had floor drains because it was previously used as a pottery studio and the drains allowed the owners to simply hose the place down to keep it clean rather than sweeping and creating dust all the time. I cut the drains off and capped the pipes before I finished the floor. A friend of mine has drains in his basement floor because he butchers deer there and needs to be able to thoroughly wash the floor. The drains can easily be plugged with basic 'plumbing test plugs' from Lowes or Home Depot.
  15. Suppressors are highly encouraged, almost mandated, for hunting in a number of countries. Just my own thought here, but the helpful noise suppression works against the agenda of the anti-gun community in the U.S. They want to scare the he!! outta people with regard to guns and the noise helps. Time for a funny re-post: https://www.billwhittle.com/right-angle/right-angle-be-afwaid-be-vewy-afwaid
  16. The Huffington Post is missing their court jester, Uptown. Time to go home.
  17. I haven't hunted creeks in a long time, but they can produce a lot of action when the weather gets bad. Two or three decoys is about all you'll need, which is nice, and a good hiding spot is critical. Disturb the area as little as possible because the ducks have probably been there before and really know when something's not right. One thing I've found that really can help with these small setups is a little motion on the decoys. A piece of light fishing line tied around the bill can work, and if you can run it down through the anchor and get a small bobble action it's even better. Shots will generally be close in and very fast, more like grouse hunting. Best of luck Val.
  18. You don't actually have to disturb the dead people. Simply eliminating Los Angeles and San Francisco from the popular vote hands it to Trump. This is precisely why the Founding Fathers established a representative Republic rather than a Democracy.
  19. Thanks for that vid JeremyK! Very impressive!
  20. I don't think PE Trump's cabinet, Attorney General Sessions in particular, are going to allow anything like the Clinton racketeering scheme. At least half of Obama's administration possibly has criminal indictments hanging over their heads. I can't wait to see who throws who under the bus if Sessions decides to pursue prosecution. It'll be like a rat hunt at the town dump, and those were a lot of fun for the shooters!
  21. I added it. But that's precisely what his intentions turned out to be. Some of us saw it a bit sooner than others and worked to correct that course from the start. You're on the side of 'the country'. Would that be the Socialist side, or the Constitutional Republic side?
  22. Mike Rowe, the "Dirty Jobs" guy, has a foundation set up to encourage young people to learn a trade. It's called mikeroweWORKS. He runs some amazing programs to enlighten young people about possibilities other than enormous college debt, as well as providing scholarships for trade schools. There's a lot of money to be made in the trades that keep everything else running. People tend to forget that. Edit: Words I had not written were placed in this post.???
  23. Not a valid comparison at all. Obama's stated intention was to "fundamentally transform America" into a Socialist nation. The Republicans said they were absolutely going to stand in the way of that at every opportunity. Trump's intent is to restore the Constitutional Republic and the Rule of Law on which this country was founded. His opponents seem to prefer the Socialist/Communist ideal, and are working to destroy the very foundations of our country. Which side of this are you on, anyway?
  24. I had to think about this for a bit, Doc. Two big issues come to mind: First is that there is no one else quite like Donald Trump. The second issue is that the people of NYS just aren't quite pi**ed off enough, yet, but Trump's Presidency may just change the overall thinking in a number of blue States over the next few years with respect to both the voters and the potential candidates for State office.
