  1. Phil has stated on the show that his son Willie has taken the company further than he ever would have, so like I said before, I doubt Phil really even cares. He seems content just living off the land
  2. I'd sign it, but I doubt Phil even cares. He's set for life and the Robertsons don't need A&E
  3. My camo's don't get put up until March 31st. Yes the debates will continue, but it's better than a dead site.
  4. My companionship with my 10lb. Pom is the same way, except the low growling, scowled eyebrows and lip curl come from me.
  5. No, but I would expect to see a decrease in license fees and that won't happen
  6. I hear ya! Not sure how it will turn out, hopefully for the better.
  7. I've fished this derby many times. It's a good time. Hopefully we get sufficient ice growth. If you do attend, make sure to tell everyone in town and on the ice to "Have A Crappy Day!" http://www.wbng.com/news/local/Almost-Annual-Crappie-Derbie-scheduled-for-January-25-236061471.html
  8. Just a friendly reminder to those who might need a license http://www.dec.ny.gov/press/94912.html
  9. I guess you could just decoy, but calling while doing so will greatly improve your odds. Calling doesn't mean you need a $600 FOXPRO either. You can pick up a hand call for $15 or you can just lipsqueak. That's where you sorta kiss the back of your hand to create a squeak. I've kidnapped a few of my dogs squeaker toys and stole the squeaker bulb out of them. She has so many that she doesn't care! lol
  10. K9's are not easy to trap and a live trap is a waste of time.
  11. That is seriously wrong on all levels. Don't you think all animals deserve an ethical kill? There'a a couple of things wrong with what you said. First off anybody who does this is by no means a hunter. Also, it is a fact that coyotes cannot be eliminated.
  12. This was news back in September. All it did was bump it up from any rimfire to all centerfire rifles smaller than .22 caliber. So therefore rifles such as the .204 Ruger and .17 hornet are now okay to use.
  13. We chased them around Bear Swamp and Hewitt a couple of times a few summers ago. My dad had a piglet in his nightvision riflescope, but the foliage was way too thick and he lost sight of it
  14. My Jeep calls for original coolant. Dexcool or g12 would not be good. While we're on the subject, I've been told of guys suspending baited treble hooks for catching yotes. Picture that in your head!
  15. My Pomeranian is my best buddy when I'm processing my deer.
  16. NYbuck50- I'll hunt them with ya if your spot is anywhere south of Cortland on the I-81 corridor
  17. I see coyotes as formidable quarry and hunt them often. IMO their presence conditions prey species to be more elusive and then when the fair weather hunters don't capitalize on bagging "their deer" or "their turkeys", it gets chalked up to the coyotes killing them all. The simple truth is that the prey are just evolving into smarter survivors. In the great scheme, us deer hunters may actually benefit when deer get bigger by staying more secluded. Honestly, would we really want deer, turkeys, etc. just wandering around without a care? I wouldn't. I enjoy a challenge.
  18. Did fair chase go out with deer season? Bombs and cocktails, really? No it will not be like shooting fish in a barrel, but if you want to boost your hunting prowess then go set up in full camo and try to coax them into range. This will not be just sitting in a tree waiting on your prey to walk past. When you call coyotes they are hunting you and will come in looking so be still. Their home range are usually around 10sq. miles so they may be gone for days at a time.
  19. No meat? Throw some low brass #6 in the shotgun and pop some small game!
  20. someone testing out their new FOXPRO? I hear Dennis Kirk lives in NY. Maybe he was practicing. Read the 10th post in this threadhttp://www.predatormastersforums.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=389684
  21. Awesome! One of my Christmas cacti was my great grandmothers and it needs help. I'm gonna try it. Thanks for the tip
  22. maybe if you help him cut blowdowns, he'll let you hunt.
