  1. My daughters appointment for ear tubes is coming up also. Ill bring some hunting mags then lol
  2. Havent been able to get a thread to load through tapatalk in the pass couple days. Not sure if tis my phone or what. And i only get on the PC on my work computer. Hope it fixes soon lol
  3. Hope you heel up quick and as pain free as possible. Glad the outcome was not any worse for you, not that they are great.. Best wishes to you sir.
  4. turkeyfeathers I didn't know you could max out the amount of likes!!?? lol Learn something new everyday lol Thank you though. Shes pumped, has been 3 years since she has harvested a deer, got a doe with her bow then, and a doe with gun the year before. She really wants a buck, especially with her bow. she don't care much for gun..
  5. Yea its a 40 yard shot from the blind, but only 25 from the double setup i have to my left in this picture. Going to place a cam on it this week. Made 2 mock scrapes on this plot, and this licking branch/mock scrape.
  6. Last night over the murder plot. Chasing any deer she wants to shoot, just hoping it to be the patterned 3.5 yr old. But whatever she wants to shoot, doesn't bother me one bit. Had 4 longbeards eat in clover in front of us, saw about 10 deer and she shot at a doe eating in the plot and just caught a couple hairs off her back. She's still pumped. Getting her a deer is my main priority this fall, I'll take the back seat. And hunt for the big boys when she can't. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  7. Opening morning. Trying to film my wife harvest one with a bow, hoping to be her first buck ever. I've patterned a nice 3.5 yr 8pt for her. Kinda weak in the genetics. He just strolled through no shot.. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  8. Made a couple quick in the rain just now. Didn't bring enough zip ties. Probably make another 1 or 2 tomorrow at other end of farm. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk

  10. I hung one of my best sets after a morning sit opening day of bow 3 years ago. Set it the same evening and had 17 deer within 100 yards of me. I think the 2 good bucks that were out could smell the fish cut branches or something cause they didn't hang around too long.. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  11. Atleast its a good sickness!! I'd like to think i have it too, but you have me beat lol. Probably cause you have more land to develop with lol or id be there with you
  12. A few of my buddies have the chill R and love it.
  13. Really glad this came up. Im going out tomorrow after work to set up 1 or 2 licking branch/ mock scrapes in a food plot and outside of a sanctuary. Would be a first time for me. Depending on what branches/trees are available i will either screw an existing one and hang it over the plot or use rope to pull some branches down. and def put a cam up over both. Not going to use any deer scent either
  14. Have always wanted to can Venison. I had it a few years ago and that was some of the best venison I have ever had. I think i found a new project fir this fall. lol Thanks for the reminder grow!
  15. I never shoot the alpha doe within doe groups just for that reason, if they are like clockwork. I'll take any other doe besides the fawns.. I won't shoot them Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  16. Nice pics! Id be hunting close by that is for sure lol Best of luck to you!
  17. Shooter to many folks!! looks like a solid 2.5 yr old. Nice looking deer
  18. Yes usually, Id rather fill doe tags with my bow, than any gun hands down. I prefer to shoot them right off the bat, unless i have a "chooter" buck patterned in that area. Plus it may mean more competition for bucks during the rut possibly too and they are not "knocked up" yet, for areas that could use a few more deer.. But this year I am trying to get my wife to fill the freezer, shes only harvested 2 deer her whole hunting career. I tell ya she has the itch to get a buck with her bow pretty badly.. I can sit back, watch and wait for Mr. Mature while she can knock off a deer or two
  19. I should rephrase that, I'll only be checking a couple cams that are on plots and easy access. The others I'll leave alone at this point until I hunt near them as season progresses. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  20. Ill check a few cams later this week to see if any of the bucks my wife has her eyes on are still on a pattern. And set up a mock scrape tree in front of a cam on a food plot ...hopefully. Sickness found me this past weekend, hoping to kick it by this coming weekend..
  21. First group of the night for the wife and I... and our daughter Alivia, who thinks shes old enough to do everything lol wife has the pictures but she has her own bow she shoots. Won't be long we will be doing the 3d shoots as a family Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk

  24. I have not had an issue yet. I bought the tracers when they were big like 6 or 8 or more years ago lol. Activated by magnet. I still have them and they have yet to fail me (knock on wood) testing them this weekend. The arrows flew the same as they do with regular nocks. If they fail i will be using nocturnals. Wife has them and shoot well.
