I'm still trying to figure out how snow during deer season is a bad thing. Funny, all my life I've spent the weeks coming up to opening day praying for snow. -

I've been searching for a 12ga bird barrel. While I'd rather have interchangeable chokes fixed MOD will work. Would you be interested in selling the 12ga bird barrel separately? -

On a whim I decided to get a duck stamp this year, never done it before. A fellow stopped and got permission from my father to hunt on his place and they were good enough to let me join them. I haven't had that much fun in years! My wife told me to go and try it to get it out of my system. Fooled her though because now I need some decoys, a layout blind, new shotgun and a dog. I don't even like dogs...

I'll usually pick up a 12'er of Genny Bock when it comes out in the spring. Other than that in the infrequent times I do drink it's PBR me ASAP.

The letter with my Lifetime tags said they weren't mailing them out but I picked one up at the Town Clerk. They had both the fishing and the hunting there.

Once word gets around I wonder how many will try not buying one this year and try to get away with carrying last years yellow licenses?

Our Town Clerk said they had been having paper issues but she didn't have any trouble while I was there. Got my Muzzleloader stamp and 2 doe tags.

Wouldn't have any idea what they would "score" anyway so it would depend on how weird it was. If it was fairly normal looking but with some character I'd take the non-typical. If it was one of those really freakish looking ones with blades and stuff just sticking out every which way I'd go with the typical. Actually, the more I think about it I'd probably shoot the freaky one to get it out of the mix and then sell the ugly old thing to Cabela's.

Don't know what area you're going to but where we are no one can ever get a reliable GPS signal. Bring 2 compasses, MINIMUM. I prefer 3 because there've been times that I thought my compass was lying to me and I've compared the three to make sure they were accurate. I have found one to be off from the other two but if I'd only had two I wouldn't know which was right. I try to have two of each of the important things. Compass, fire starter, knife.
