  1. Just got home. Great morning to be in the woods! Didn't see much for tree rats, a few running across the ground faster then I cared to take a shot at with a .22lr. Chipmunks everywhere. Found some pretty well used deer runs. Made a few brush blinds. Sent from my XT830C using Tapatalk
  2. OMG! You caught a BTD! A Boating Transmitted Disease! Seek help ASAP at the nearest clinic! Congrats Stone! Looks like an awesome boat that will get you out there for the deeper running fish, or just a leisurely stroll around a lake.
  3. How well would a magnified bow site work through a peep? I can't imagine very well. Sent from my XT830C using Tapatalk
  4. You may not understand the meaning of the deer camp. The close quarters are to have fart wars. If you can't share, then what's the point of eating 3 bowls of chili? Sent from my XT830C using Tapatalk
  5. She saw what they eat in the city, so it pretty much ruined her of trying it. Sent from my XT830C using Tapatalk
  6. That sounds good. Never tried it that way. Thanks for the recipe CC. Sent from my XT830C using Tapatalk
  7. Stripped the wrap off a shaft last night. Shot 4 arrows a few minutes ago. 1st was the bare shaft, then 2 full arrows with FT's, and top was a BH. All at 15 yds. Sent from my XT830C using Tapatalk
  8. Just curious if anyone else is going in the morning? I will be scouting, so I may as well carry the .22lr and try to put some squirrel meat in the freezer. Might be the year I talk the fiancee into trying it. Sent from my XT830C using Tapatalk
  9. Looks awesome! Congrats again. Sent from my XT830C using Tapatalk
  10. Even the Washington Post had to swallow hard and call it what it is. I agree with the bear spray idea. Sent from my XT830C using Tapatalk
  11. Congratulations to your buddy and his son. Sent from my XT830C using Tapatalk
  12. Set up the tent to check it for rips/holes, check poles. Run the file to sharpen axe and hatchet. Get more batteries for lantern. Sent from my XT830C using Tapatalk
  13. Just shot 2. FP top and BH bottom. 30 paces so probably 25 yds. Sent from my XT830C using Tapatalk
  14. Any coyotes out that way? Pop the chuck while she's out and say the yotes musta got him. We won't say a word. [emoji38] Sent from my XT830C using Tapatalk
  15. Just put a pork loin end in the crock pot. Low for 8 hrs, pull apart, add more sauce, set to warm for about an hour. Tyring a new sauce, Hunt's Bold and Spicy. Sent from my XT830C using Tapatalk
  16. Was just curious about stability. As for the taxes, most are by county and or town in most areas of the state if memory serves me right. Sent from my XT830C using Tapatalk
  17. Grow, when you put the posts in the ground do cement them in or just fill the dirt back in? Sent from my XT830C using Tapatalk
  18. Air out the pop-up blinds, get batteries for flashlights and head lamp. Wash hunting clothes-air dry-treat with Sawyer's. Make sure knives are sharp. Check hunting socks for holes.... Make sure the things are in my pack that need to be there.... Sent from my XT830C using Tapatalk
  19. True for the bow season, but it's only about a week difference, then the gun season opens and is about a month longer. Sent from my XT830C using Tapatalk
  20. I think it has to do with the farther north areas where it's more big woods then farm land. You can hunt for a long time and never see or get a shot at a legal buck. No harm in the NZ having the extra 4 days. Sent from my XT830C using Tapatalk
  21. I can't wait either. I do have some work to do on the private land up north. Got out there a few weeks ago and when they logged it all but two of my brush blinds are gone, so have to rebuild a few when I am up there opening weekend for the NZ. Not optimal, but at least they will be ready for the gun opener. Sent from my XT830C using Tapatalk
  22. Usually mid August. This year it was this morning. Nice crisp chill in the air, leaves starting to change, and found a few good runs (new from last season) going in and out of some thick stuff on one area I will be hunting. Had that slight feeling of butterflies in the gut. Sent from my XT830C using Tapatalk
  23. Nail on the head right there. Do I need more guns? No. Will I buy more? Yes. [emoji38] Sent from my XT830C using Tapatalk
  24. Nope. Only this year's tags are legal. Started that a couple years ago. Sent from my XT830C using Tapatalk
  25. Cool pics. There was a couple of them in a driveway in a very urbanized area out in Loudonville ( spelling ? ). They weren't rabid like the one that attacked that woman. I hear them again just about every night to the west of me in the area I hunt. Not much for squirrels or rabbits on that land. Will never understand the ideology that just because coyotes aren't an issue for some, they think the whole state is like thier backyard. Sent from my XT830C using Tapatalk
