The one in Rotterdam? I thought they were moving to a new location up on RT50, but the number for the place no longer works and the Facebook page is empty now as well as the website is gone.

NO! I hope that came out right: NO!

Pretty sure that's the picture I was thinking of when I made my post. Or one close there of.

They sort of look like Pygmy and Lawdwaz.

It's on the news, not just left wing propaganda news either, all news, and it's been on the web for a week now about expectations. You'd be amazed what you can find out when you don't spend all day here 'debating' with other people who like to 'debate'. While people were busy being preoccupied with a trucker protest, I was busy looking at the real issues.

Gas prices will be at $170 a barrel by the end of the week. Prices aren't waiting until Spring to hit $200, much less Summer. Everyone should expect to see $10 a gallon for gas by May, at least that's the way it looks right now. All this is going to all but cripple those of us who aren't making $100,000+ for the household. People won't be able to afford electric bills, gas prices, or most food soon. Our propane bill has already doubled in less than three months. Shipping costs will go through the roof, so even trying to order items won't be a viable option. The screwed up thing is the Gov. will give billions to people who don't deserve or actually need the money, while people like me won't be able to go anywhere and be eating ramen and tuna fish on crackers.

Grab those ankles, oils going to rocket to over $170 a barrel by the end of the week. Some said gas will be at or over $10 a gallon by the Summer, and it looks like it's headed that way.

Kathy hochul taking Russian money

Don't worry, Andy will be back in office soon. He's already got commercials running about how badly he was treated and forced off of his throne. -
I feel the economy and gas prices will be a double-edged sword. Last deer season, there were a lot more hunters in the deer woods, especially during the regular season in my area. My gut tells me there's going to be more people sticking closer to home and not driving, so there's going to be more hunters out there again. As for the price of food making more people hunt, I'm not sure. There's a lot of people who feel the grocery store will still be a better option. Take into account that there's people who don't like venison, and this one's really a big guessing game. I won't be picky this coming season. As I said, my gut tells me there's going to a lot more people out there with the gas prices, so if I have a tag for it, I'm done worrying about taking small does or bucks. If rumors I hear come true, gas will be far over $5 a gallon next deer season, so it will impact my season if that happens. Especially my week up north at the cabin. I'm already putting money aside for gas to be able to drive to my areas up there from the cabin. Gas was a bit high up there last year as it was. We've already had to cancel two camping trips, and I'm doing careful consideration/planing for the Spring turkey season. I plan to try and hunt only during the week, so I don't drive to a few places that are 16-20 miles away only to find out the parking areas are full and have to drive around to another spot or come back home.

American Freedom Convoy....

Funny how those that quoted me didn't address what I mentioned about not seeing this sort of thing for any of the serious issues, gun control, taxes, or the prices of gas going through the roof. That says a lot. Masks bad, shots bad, gas prices good, gun control good. I stated why I'm not on board with this, and as I keep saying when something people want isn't on a store shelf, people will cry because that's what many do. To think independent truckers don't haul every day essentials is beyond even replying about. Like I said, I guess I'm just not one of those people who only thinks about me and no care for anyone else. I'm not the one twisting things to fit my narrative, I'm pointing out flaws in how people think about protesting. It's not my problem if people can't see far enough past their own noses to accept valid points and reasoning. Carry on, folks, fight the good fight! -

I don't even know how to reply to this. As for that last part, that's a seriously messed up way of thinking. Sure, no food on store shelves, or no ammo in an already crappy shortage because I want to pitch a fit about nothing. I usually agree with most of what you say, but that statement is something I'd expect from the "all about me screw the rest of the world" guys, not you man. I would be all for this if there was a solid reason for it. There isn't! I guess I'm more about not messing with the lives of a lot of people to prove a non-point. This protest will do as much good as using a bottle cap as an umbrella in a monsoon. Why don't you see massive protests like this to defend the Second Amendment? Why aren't people taking to the streets to protest that gun manufacturers can be held responsible for what some low life scumbag does with a gun made by them? Why aren't people marching to reduce taxes? Why aren't people going nuts because Cuomo was let off on sexual harassment? If you want to stand up for something, make it worthwhile. -

So, some of you endorse this even though some of those trucks could have medical supplies or things like baby food and formula? Everyone was ticked off about supply disruptions, but now it's cool? People are ticked off about the price of things going up, partially due to items not being transported because people didn't want to go to work, but break out the party hats and fireworks for this crap? WTH is wrong with some of you! Yeah, this country's gone frigging insane, let's screw up other people's lives, so we can protest nothing (sure sounds like something the left would pull, maybe use red masks instead of black). This crap was ridiculous in Canada, and it's ridiculous now. -

Or that new bow or gun someone ordered is late or lost. Or when ammo isn't on the shelves because people feel the need to act out and not do their jobs. -
Heckling the President
DirtTime replied to Northcountryman's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
I don't remember it being as bad as being touted by the media. Democrats are just mad because we had to look at Pelosi and Harris for 89% of that more or less unproductive spewing of words, and a hot Republican named Boebert took a stand. -
So you're saying you'd prefer to do it yourself?

A huge moose steak, two potatoes, and a couple ears of corn on the cob all cooked over a camp fire. Since I'm guessing I'm going to die anyway a 12 pack of Newcastle.

What in the hell do ticks have to do with peepers? Anyways, to answer the question, I believe for ticks to actually die there has to be a long cold snap of a couple weeks with temps below 10*. Deer ticks become dormant when temps get below 35* but don't die in those temps, and can become active again pretty quick once the temps get warmer. Snow on the ground can make them less active, but I've had them on me with snow on the ground before. Dog ticks and lone star ticks become dormant when the temps dip below 45* but don't die. At least that's what I remember reading about 8 years ago when I ended up with two of them dug in inside of a year and did a little reading up. Those are the three most prominent ticks we have in NYS.

Trump speaks at CPAC

I should put my name up as an Independent. I can't do any worse then Biden has. -

I think Trumps run it's course as well. DeSantis won't win over the bleeding hearts and I doubt will toss billions of dollars away to for feel good issues, like Obama will. So she'll win the same way Biden won, backing protesters and keeping the race war going. -

Now that's a good question left field. If he learned anything from 2020 he will. That second part? Obama wins. Open borders, defunding police, and dolling out money to non US citizens wins that every time. Unless a lot of people wake up and see the severe downfalls of those type of actions, which I don't see happening. -
Wanna know what's more accurate then both? A good rifle, and the best part is you can shoot further! Wait, aren't crossbows capable of 100+ yard shots? It all gets so confusing sometimes.

Have at it with the sugar comment. I would still vote for Trump if he runs in 2024, I'm not blind and I see what he did for this country, but by the Gods if there are any left, I hope the Republican Party can put someone up who'd be more personable and still put the USA first. Only Trump knows why he did the things he did, but I agree if he had taken a quiet approach a lot more he'd be in office right now. I want what's best for this country as a whole! Of course I want someone in office who will protect my 2A rights, all of us on this forum should. OK, the elitist bow only guys probably don't care much about guns, but I sure do ( this part is sarcasm and a joke for those with reading disabilities ). The sad thing is we aren't going to get a Democrat who care's more about the USA then a Republican will. The past few decades have proven that. On the debate of 2A rights, anyone who thinks there aren't Republicans who want to take that away is fooling themselves. -

Some people don't know the difference between "influenced" and "fraud". The 2020 election it was won by influence- the easily swayed followed the popular vote and Biden was the popular vote. Like it or not there it is! I also don't understand why any intelligent person can't see Trump was/is his own worst enemy, and the last election was his to lose. He had almost full support of the Republican party going in on his first round and for a short while after he won. He started loosing that support with his Tweets, you can try and put all the excuses/spins in the world on it, but it will not change the fact that, that was his undoing. You can pour sugar on a pile of scat all day long, it's still going to be a pile of scat, oddly enough with more flies on it though. As stated already, when Trump won the Left threw them selves on the floor and had temper tantrums crying "fraud", while the Right went around chest thumping ( my new favorite expression by the way ). Now, just like was predictable, the Left is running around chest thumping while the Right is throwing temper tantrums screaming fraud. This will be no different come 2024 no matter who wins, one side will gloat and the other will cry. I also ( yes, I said that again ) have to laugh when people say this social media is lying or that social media is wrong, this is the only place to get real news. Got some actual news for you, unless you sit down personally and have a chat with the political person in question, it can all be lies ( it will most likely still be lies face to face, that's what politicians do, even the Mighty Trump did not follow through on all his promises. Remember when he said he'd protect the Second Amendment, go back and do some research, he started the ball rolling on "Ghost Guns" being banned, and if I recall he wanted to ban full auto. You are being fed what they want you to know on both sides whether you want to pull your head out of the sand and understand that is up to you. -
He posted in the smoking boards earlier today. Probably busy with that. There's a big forum with other topic aside prom politics if you look ya know.
