  4. well being in the middle of moose country here in Nh I have had plenty of run in's with moose been chased a few times 99% of the time they will not continue to charge or chase for very far so much stuff this guy did wrong in my eyes right from the get go he was the aggressor here not the moose & I agree with the rest at least finish it off which he may have done after filming I only hope he went back
  5. Boiler Room for me each is own but why go for such a smaller target go for the Mass
  6. There are some exceptions. You can sell to an FFL, although that FFL cannot re-sell inside of NY. Gottcha so you could still sell out of state (private sale) and in state to an FFL only
  7. Looking over the Safe act restrictions it states in th frequently asked question section: Q: What do I do if I don't want to register my assault weapon? A: You can sell it to a New York State dealer or anyone out of state by January 15, 2014. Federal law has certain restrictions on shipping guns between states that you should consult before making a transfer. Then it states Q: I have an assault weapon. Do I have to give it up? A: No. If you have an assault weapon, you can register it with the State Police. You have until April 15, 2014 to register your weapon. Under state and federal law, some people are not allowed to possess a weapon, such as convicted felons, individuals who have been involuntarily committed, or individuals currently under an order of protection. These people will not be able to register. There is no fee for registering. so is it now illegal to sell one & you have to register it by april, convert it or give it up?
  8. first things first Thank You for your service I am assuming in NY he still has to go through an FFL to sell out of state or can you do a private sale in NY still?
  9. Love mine while outside hunting, Yard work ect.. but don't like it as much for everyday carrying as I have mine on Vibrate most of the time & you can not feel it through the case also does affect the sound volume also I have an iphone 4 & the volume on the phone is not great to begin with or I am getting deaf I would stay away from the Knockoffs they are not good

  17. bad thing is I think the bad ones are coming here state trying to pass a couple bills one making it a felony to even loan anyone a gun / Universal backround checks & at the same time to allow illegal immigrants in-state tuition rates as a resident gets guess we all need to move somewhere
  18. False but would try it The next poster is going shed hunting this weekend
  19. I too wear gloves but here in NH the last 3 weeks of bow season we were below 0 or single digits I actually had my glove freeze to my riser. & maybe I am a wimp compared to some of you but I am loving this unit. I now can continue shooting every day outside instead of shooting just 15 yards in my basement
  20. Hope everyone has a Safe & Merry Christmas
  21. you want a winch with a mechanical brake plows will put a hurting on winches I have a champion 2500# on my honda atv & with plowing it is junking out may not last the season dynamic brakes do not like to lift or hold lifted weight
  22. Initial review: I Purchased the Dragonfire in mossyoak camo arrived in a couple days it looks to be a quality made product installation & instructions are simple It is recommended to use Nickel Metal Hydrate rechargable batteries Lithium recommended in temps below 20 degrees I ordered at the end of bow season so I did not get it in the woods yet but have been testing it in 20-30 degree weather here & I have to say so far I am really liking this heating begins very fast. I have est. time of 10 sec to start to feel the heat battery seems to last the est. time per the claim (only tested the alkaline & NiMH batteries) it has a high, low & off setting low seems really nice for cool days when you don't need gloves & high works well on the really cold days with gloves on So far I am enjoying the Dragonfire & will continue to test & update this product Here are a couple pics of the setup
  23. Early my daughter was 14 when I bought it & I agree with you on light vs recoil but I was suprised with this she weighed maybe 100#s & would shoot box after box if I could afford it (federal 150 grain) it really does not have a lot of recoil
