  1. Mmm , sounds good...
  2. good Idea on the blocks on the front, when we hauled in the back of the truck I would put a tire between the wheeler and front of the box. I have seen to many broken rear windows..
  3. From a rob to a rob, happy birthday ..
  4. Hunters vs hunters is the worst thing for the sport of hunting. Would I shoot a giraffe nope. BUT taken legally then have at it. There’s a lot of animals I do not have any interest in hunting , there’s lots of different ways of hunting that I wouldn’t do . But in the end if it’s legal then no one should have a problem with it ..
  5. And right dead center is NY city...
  6. Let me thumb threw the paper, I would have to spread it out to read in the folds..
  7. I am only 48 and I remember party permits , we used to sit in the morning and then put on drives all afternoon..
  8. Believe you me he wants to get out on his own just as bad, we have not forced this on him. He’s actually done the apartment hunting all by himself. I will say there’s a certain amount of gratification when you raised your kids right and they become self sufficient and become a contributing part of society..
  9. No dog yet, we had a great golden retriever but he passed. Wife and I are going to travel a bunch now , then later on we will get a pooch.
  10. The worst is you get the kids broke in so they actually pick up after themselves, then off to collage and bam right back to leaving everything laying around. Since he’s been home our grocery bill has doubled. He is a good kid no doubt but dang kids are expensive...
  11. Starting to move the youngest out tonight. He works nights and his next day off is Friday, so moving the big stuff tonight and finishing up Friday after wife and I get out of work. Then it’s party time . We love my boys but we have raised them right and it’s time for our youngest to be his own man..

    New bow

Wow, I went from a 04 Protec to a 2014 faktor and I thought that was a big jump. Congrats on the new Hoyt..
  13. Anyone else ever wonder why they don’t sell the activated carbon hunting clothes in sealed bags ? I mean the carrbon adsorbes odors non stop, and if I remember right the charcoal has a limit because when you dry them to release the odors a typical household dryer can not get hot enough to do a good job of reactivating the charcoal..
  14. Your 100% right on the MY DEER comment. The trophy buck craze has done more to hurt hunting than help. The things that have changed in my 33 years of hunting..... slug gun to rifles -plus deer drives to stand hunting - has positives and negatives . hunting clothes have improved tremendously - big positive compound bow technology - big plus deer camps seem to be on the decline - negative lack of land access - huge negative younger generation not exposed or interested in hunting - biggest negative of all
  15. Wife and I just got back from sighting in her new Weatherby Camilla in 7-08. For only being the second time she’s shot and having never shot a gun with a scope, She shot very well. The 120 grain nosler ballistic tips over 40 grains of reloader 15 grouped nicely. At the tail end she put 3 in the bullseye at 75 yards. Myself I put the scope back on the old super redhawk to try it again and we’ll its coming back off and the ultra dot red dot is going back on and staying on. I have such long arms that even 15 + inch eye relief hand gun scope Is very difficult for me to acquire. All in all we both shot pretty well..
  16. Glad your enjoying it, atv’s are addicting for sure. Wait till you wear out the stock ho hum tires and buy a good set, the difference is night and day..
  17. Very nice, enjoy ....
  18. Longer the better for me, I would much rather have them sticking out when carrying them , than having to try and gun my wheeler up the ramps because the ramps are too steep..
  19. 9.5 inch barreled Super red hawk in 44 mag over a max load of 2400 and a 240 grain xtp The gp-100 is the wife’s hunting revolver..
  20. Can’t really figure it out, we scored a new lease and when we walked it it’s loaded with deer trails, lots of acorns , there’s a small creak at the bottom, mix of hard woods and pine etc. so it looks like it will be productive spot. But I just am not getting pumped about hunting this new property. Guess I have to many home projects that I need to get done and has me preoccupied. So anyone else ever has this problem? Only other time in my life that I didn’t have interest was right after my dad died . I didn’t hunt for two years.
  21. I also have a fiskar from Home Depot, I have cut branches up to 3 inches with it with no problems.
  22. I have used them and they have been hit or miss with me on performance. I currently do not use them..
  23. Welcome, bunch of good people on this forum..
  24. How about some photos.... and enjoy the vacation..
