  1. They know , they are not dumb animals..
  2. Guess you don’t have to worry about a shooting window..
  3. Yep we used to go in and we would buy a Matt’s bear ball and just cut the top off and dip our cups. Myself and my friends never got carded..
  4. Yes sir I did, and let me say if you were the first one to drink you learned very fast that you let the hose run for a minute..
  5. Back in the day You were gone at sunrise and mom was yelling as I headed out the door be home by dinner. No checking in during the day. we would build forts in the woods, swim in the crick, drink from the hose, play cowboys and Indians, red light green light, red rover red rover , hide and seek. When I got to be a teenager it was riding 3 wheelers, snow mobiles , fishing, hunting. And the biggest thing is getting my a$$ beat when I needed it, I look back at the times I did and I was a jerk no doubt..
  6. You shoot a 60 lb arrow , man your bow must be whisper quiet
  7. back in the day I hunted with 2317s and 125 grain heads and I seem to remember total arrow weight was around 500 to 525 grains. now I hunt with 430 grain weight arrows and I am still pulling half the shaft out of the ground after a pass through..
  8. Woods no doubt , when I met my wife her parents had a cottage on the lake, it was nice. but I much prefer spending time in the woods..
  9. You can order on line ( no safe act restrictions ) but I buy all my powder and primers local, just because I don’t want to pay for the hazmat fees.
  10. I started loading back when the safe act was instituted. Best thing I ever did , do it you won’t regret it .
  11. Well guess it depends on how you want to decipher, will not be infringed on. To me this is infringement..
  12. I am not debating if it’s wrong or right because we all know it is unconstitutional. As for boycotting one and not the other, one has to draw a line some where. If we as gun owners/ sportsman boycotted every company that disagreed with what we believe in , well we would have to pretty much go back and live like we did in the 1800s and be 100% self sufficient.
  13. You are right, but to me Walmart is a store that happens to sell guns. field and stream is solely a outdoor store. If or when Congress passes legislation for no one under 21 to purchase a AR and all gun stores have to follow it . Well then there’s nothing to hold against a local shop or cabelas etc because their hands are tied.. but to be a specific store and alienate customers makes no sense..
  14. It may be that way for now , but when things calm down it’s the long game for us hunters sticking to our beliefs . because it will affect their bottom line..
  15. I haven’t been in dicks for years, but when they built the field and stream we spent quiet a bit on clothes reloading etc.but no more..
  16. Just another nail in the coffin, and yet another reason for me to never step foot in both stores again..
  17. I used a trailer hitch carrier for years with my truck, between climbers and hunting gear I never had room for a deer in the bed and washing blood out was a pain to me. And as for wrapping the deer up HELL no , be proud that your a hunter ..
  18. I have a jacket in the original pattern of real tree, I bought in 1987. I gave it to my oldest son and I love seeing him wear it.. and I have a real tree advantage (they call it advantage classic now) bow hunting coat that I just love and still wear every year..
  19. Myself I tend to stick with what works for me. For example I have been bow hunting for 30 years and have owned 4 bows. I am using the same archery sight for 20 years or better.really the only time I replace something is if it wears out or breaks.
  20. No ,no ,no you don’t cut a hole, you cut lanes into the ice silly.
  21. I myself am 48 and have been a weight lifter since my teens and have my share of injury’s etc. the one thing I have noticed as I get older I don’t recover as fast and I need the rest time between work out days. I Tore the ligaments in my left knee ( high school football ) and have recently found out I have no cartlidge at all in that knee, so it’s bone on bone and I have bone fragments in my ligaments and floating around and the repaired ligament has gotten weak and my knee is out of alignment big time. I knew something was up but didn’t think it was as bad as it is. And my back well when I went for a mri a few years ago it wasn’t good. They basically said we have put guys off from work with half as many problems in their back as yours.. But I still work 40 hrs and I hit the gym 3 days a week . I don’t do squats or deadlifts anymore, but I do what I can and I still can go heavy on quiet a few exercises. guess my point is, one just has to know that as they get older that they have to modify things around our injury’s etc. The worst thing a guy can do is just go full couch potato mode..
  22. When your birthday falls on a weekend enjoy your birthday....
  23. It’s not that impressive. I could jump over that
