  1. Why would you post a video of dog crap ??
  2. I am 47 and I have already slowed on buying hunting equipment. But I will hunt as long as my body lets me..
  3. What you lack In drawing ability, you make up for in carving ability..

  9. I have been a auto mechanic for many many years and have worked on cars since I was 12. The one thing I can say about anything that is designed , built or assembled by man, there will be problems.. nothing is 100% fool proof..
  10. Man I thought I got mine for a deal at $250 and mine needed some work. But yes the bayous are notorious for being very cold blooded..
  11. Yep, see what u mean now. Man that’s a pristine bayou. I started my wife on a 220 bayou, those little 220s you can’t kill them no frills super simple machine. The wife wanted hers painted purple...
  12. Right , i went with the 3 inch barrel length and 180 grain bullet for or a packable gun . But you have to look at bullet weight and barrel length, both will play a roll in velocity . What I did was I went to beartooth bullets and they have a page of calculators , you type in bullet weight and FPS and it gives you the ft lbs of energy. I still vote for 357 and a heavy bullet..
  13. Nice atv , the thing I noticed in your photo is your tires are looking a bit low on tread. If I could recommend some tires look into Kenda bear claws, I run them on my 2wd Suzuki and mine and the wife’s 4wd kodiaks. They wear forever and are a great all around tire , amazon has sets for pretty cheap..
  14. I am outside of Corning about hour and half from you, I have a gp-100 and a ruger Black hawk in 357 and a super redhawk in 44 you can shoot..
  15. Lots of assumptions being thrown out, so I went to buffalo bore and checked the numbers for their heavy outdoorsman loads( buffalo bore is known to have accurate data on their loads ) 357 - 180 grain hardcast out off a 3 inch s&w j frame 1302 FPS 10 mm - 220 grain hardcast from a 4.6 inch barrel Glock 20 1140 FPS and from a para ordinance 1911 with 5 inch barrel 1201 FPS 41 mag - 230 grain Keith bullet from 4.5 barrel s&w mountain gun 1310 FPS Padre 86 were do u live one of us guys might be close enough to let you shoot one of our 357,44 or 10mm’s
  16. Wife and I got out saturday to ride the atvs at tall pines atv park in Andover. we had a blast there was about 8 inches of snow mixed in with some mud when it warmed up. We rode for about 5 hours, told the wife on the ride home I needed that..
  17. Well then a 357 with a heavy for caliber bullet (170 grains on up ) will do you just fine.a gp- 100 will handle any hot load you can throw at it, plus it’s heavy enough to soke up some recoil. And I second what dinsdal said about a chest rig..
  18. One of the most interesting threads I have read here . thanks guys and girls..
