  1. Fun no doubt, if you have kids definitely take them. When my boys were 9 and 5 we went and they had a blast shooting at all the animals... mentioned to the wife about going and she said sounds good, so if a few of you guys want to set some thing up I am game.
  2. That is the major reason we didn’t buy land with our house, we could have made the higher payments but it would have been tight..
  3. Buy land with your house purchase, wife and I went back and forth on this and we ended up just buying a house. But I had land to hunt up till just recently second, would be getting my wife into hunting sooner than I did. my biggest regret, is to not have started saving sooner for a surprise hunting trip for my dad and i to go on. He passed before I had the money saved up ..
  4. Man, there has been some very big deer shot this year no doubt.
  5. I am grinding mine up and making chili. It is by choice, I passed up 7 deer so yeah..
  6. Yep, how about the book bag ..
  7. Ok I have read where others are seeing a bat ? WTH I just don’t see it..
  8. You are 100% correct, but I also want to keep my finances in check also. I can live with out land but can’t live with out a house.
  9. Any shot gun with a separate slug barrel, for me it’s my 870 12 gauge . A shot gun really is the right answer, bird shot for everything from squirrels to turkeys and slug barrel for all big game.
  10. I agree with your last sentence 100%. Man those guys named rob , there kinda smart
  11. Thanks all for the kind words. Would love to buy land but wife and I are in our late 40s and we want to be completely out of debt when we retire and we are on track for that. Plus I have some major knee and back issues (old football injuries ) that as I get older are going to complicate things. It will work out for us it always does, wife has already suggested to start looking for another lease.just wanted to vent my frustration..
  12. So we had been on this lease for 3 years and found out about the sale in a round about way. Kind of bummed , we were really getting to know the land and we had already done a bunch of work on it too.Our lease runs out sept 2018 so we will be turkey hunting one more time .i have thousands of acres of state land close to my house so might start scouting that for next years archery season. Thanks for listining to me whine ..
  13. keep your hat off also....even a ball cap...

  16. This is my 2013 archery buck he’s 120 gross. Sad part is I tried to call in a much larger buck 40 minutes before I grunted in the one pictured .
  17. We bow hunted hard nov 6th to the 15th before gun and I pulled my cards saturday afternoon of opening day and all my photos were at night from the 15 th on..the warm season we had didn’t help too..
