I have a couple youngsters who were going to come to our course. But now all they have to do, is take the on line course. The real learning will begin, once I get them out in the deer woods. Both have been shooting well since spring.

Congratulations Cynthia! Eventually you will need the bow course to hunt with a crossbow. And I think you learn many aspects that will help you to hunt with a crossbow. And I think you won one of those? So you'll be all set! Also, shooting a compound is a lot of fun too. And today's bows are easy to learn on. That will give you much more time to be in the deer woods. At a very comfortable time of year, weather wise.

We get some pretty big bears around here, and see them often enough. So I can usually help with stuff like this. But the pictures here don't give me enough to go on? I would 'guess' this to be perhaps a younger bear, it's first year on its own? I say that only for the pronounced ear that can be seen in the pic. With a BIG bear, the ears look very small on that huge head. I say every deer season, that perhaps I'll shoot a bear if I get a chip shot at a real big one? But have never shot at one for a variety of reasons. Who knows........maybe this year???? Or maybe just call Moog to come east, and bring home a big bruin?

This guy is very good!!!! Anyone else know someone, who out shoots you every time on targets, but completely misses the entire deer while hunting????? Or worse yet wounds it and doesn't recover it. And not just once or twice either! Why is that?? Most anyone can kick my butt shooting targets, most of the time. But when I launch an arrow at a deer while hunting, 99 times out of 100 that deer is heading to my freezer. I'll take that score every time.

Very true. But from what I've seen, until you get to the thousand dollar and higher crossbows, the scopes are mostly crap.I got way less than that in my set ups. If the season was longer, I could justify buying a better quality, more expensive crossbow. But for something I may only take out a couple of times a year, I'll stick to the cheap crossbow, with upgraded scope.

Some years ago, someone showed up with some raccoon back straps. I seem to remember them being pretty darn good? But that night got a bit foggy.

With any budget crossbow package, the scope that comes with the crossbow is usually not very good. I too have swapped out the package scope, for the Nikon Bolt scope. What a huge difference it makes.

Heck of a deal right here folks! Clean brass, is the basis of a perfect reloaded round. Anyone thinking of getting into reloading, you'll want to have this.

The Sniper 370 is a great starter crossbow. As well as the PSE Fang. I would rate these over a starter Barnett. I have all three of these. Good luck, and have fun with whatever you get! Come back and let us know what ya get. And how ya like it!

I heard a while back that Nikon was closing down their optics line? Not sure how that will impact the warranties from all the stuff purchased over the years? I would hope the warranties would still be honored. Let us know how you make out with your Bino's.
