Thanks Dan. You being the resident expert on big hairy things, that smell funny. I knew you would get to the bottom of this!

Instead of sending my hard earned money to the NRA. I have been sending donations to National and Local, Republican and Conservative parties and candidates, that support my rights and beliefs. As I said in a prior post, I am a life member in the NRA and heartbroken over the way WLP and his cronies have run the organisation into the ground. Also, it is no surprise at all that the Dimocrates are stirring all this up in an election year. Standard Operating Procedure, in politics now days. I encourage everyone, to lend their support, as much as possible, to a party or candidate this year that supports what they believe. Since the NRA no longer believes in us. We are just marks to them at this point.

I agree with you Larry. We do need the numbers that the NRA can generate as far as lobbying for our gun rights. And without question, people like you and I, need that representation now more than ever, in todays political quagmire. There is nothing wrong with the NRA itself. But it is now being run by crooks, and people who want us to send them more money to enrich themselves, not fight for our rights. Over just the last two years, the NRA lost sixty four million dollars. Doesn't sound like much in today's corporate atmosphere. But you can't get the mission done with no money! It's time for the NRA to stop the bleeding, and rebuild from the ground up. Get rid of all the riff raff at the top like WLP, who only look at the NRA as a self enrichment program. I would again, fully support the NRA tomorrow, if it would go back to the principles of the past, that made it so great. And I really hope it does, sooner, rather than later. We need a strong NRA now, more than ever. It just has to clean house before that can happen.

The reason NRA has no teeth to bite with is because WLP, and a few of his cronies bled the NRA of it's life's blood.....$$$ While doing little to advance gun rights agendas anywhere. Including a more vigorous fight right here in NYS against the Safe Act! It is all very well documented. I too am a life member of NRA. Have been a member since 1979. But I will not contribute one more penny to WLP and his BS! Gut the upper levels of the NRA and bring it back to what it once was. The chief benefactor for upholding the 2nd amendment, gun rights and firearms education in the country. Not an exclusive sportsmans club for the rich and spoiled .

They just don't make em like this anymore. Absolutely cool old stove! I remember my grampy cooking up breakfast and dinner on one of these, up at camp when I was a pup. This model even predates me by ten years....lol Hope you get many years of use, and memories out of it. Oh......nothing beats the smell of the white colman gas. I would stick to that.

Yes! You certainly have!!! And they are beautifully done may I add. I'm hoping one of these years, you get a capital region buck in there..... I'll try harder! Or maybe get lucky?

First shot since winter. First shot at new target. 30 yards. Group of six. Needs improvement, but I'll take it with my rickitty old shoulders and elbow. Will be good to go come October. I do love this bow. I seem to do well with moog's hand me downs......

What????? You are ok ????? Was just gonna see if I could get nurse Charlie to give you mouth to mouth, or a sponge bath or 'something'!

Got quite a bit of wind and rain here in the capital region. My tomato plants all blew over, even though they were staked and tied. Big branch came down next to my bass boat, but thankfully missed it by - that much..... Will pull the cover off after work to be sure. On a good note, all the rain helped the corn, peas, beans and other plots we have planted at the farm.

Vermont is such a great place to visit. We go a few times a year. The Stowe area is very nice, even outside of ski season. Did you get to the Vermont Country Store over in Weston? Great pic's of the family, and mountain views!

I have a Summit Viper, but haven't used it in years, and should probably just sell it. It is very comfortable and easy to use. But kinda heavy, and like others have said, you need a straight tree. For the last ten years or so, 95% of my hunting is done from the ground. Using whatever is lying on the ground to make a blind, or using natural cover. And even hub blinds. Can do this in hardwoods, swamps, oak ridges, field edges, or just about anywhere. To me it is all about hunting eye to eye with the deer, and nothing is more exciting as seeing one come in to you. Also, no stand to carry in. And you can be very mobile, very quickly if needed. Best of luck with whatever set up you choose.

That looks really good! For 15 years, that post was waiting for that buck to come along!!

Wow!!! Is this a public park with no hunting?
-
If I do shoot a doe, it will be late season.
-
Very nice!! I do love a well constructed ground blind!! My favorite way to hunt!

Not so Biz. The Yankees still have one of the best minor league systems in baseball. They will be good for years to come. While Boston gutted their farm system, to buy enough strong arms and bats to win a ring. It worked too! But now they have to pay the piper in mediocrity for a few years while they rebuild.
-
Absolutely right John. Beantown baseball is a total bust for the next few years. They sold the farm to get that last ring.

Lets Go Yankees!!!!

Happy to hear Ana is doing ok. And we have missed you here big guy!

I was originally looking at the Spypoint cams too. But all the bad reviews turned me off. Phade says the Tactacam Reveal, is newer and better technology. He is our resident cam expert, so I'll take his advice.

Great Pic's Larry! Got to be something in that WNY water?? A few good reasons to be excited about the upcoming season! Good luck!

I don't get why you were willing to delete your account. And also lock yourself out, and then you want to come back? But welcome back anyways. I kinda accepted you being a lefty, because you are a musician too. And you never bothered ME, by standing up for what YOU believe. Hope you have a better go this time around.

Wow!!! Awesome job Brian!! Looks fantastic! Is this where your your 'work' room was down there? So perhaps the next time I'm in town, we could watch hunting DVDs and munch Nachos and Wings??

I have two of the Tactacam Revel cams from Phade. But life is getting in the way of me setting them up. I'm hoping to get that done, and get them out in the woods this weekend. Will let you know what I think after that.
