new to trail cams... have some questions
phade replied to bugsNbows's topic in Trail Camera Reviews and Info
Not much beats a laptop/computer or similar. The phone options are nice - the ones with phone specific connections. It's great for pics on only a few cams. If you are going through thousands of pics...it's money wasted. Vids? Same thing. Tablets are a little better, but equally laborious sometimes. Wouldn't want to go through a thousand pics on that unless I had some spare time and nothing to do. Having the bigger viewing screen is pretty paramount. The small 3 and 4" screens don't cut it. -
I have equal number of bucks I've killed caught on cam in velvet vs. not.

You should have purchased the cam from me. I am a Browning dealer. The Strike Force is a picture taking machine. Check to see if your Elite takes pics after you turn the camera off (and SD card still in). One user here reported that. Curious if you experience the same issue.

Muzzy indeed had planning issues with their last batches from the factory in CO. Something was up and whatever it was, turned out to be related to the sale of the company from what I understand. Some finances came into play causing the quality of the product to degrade a bit and that sent the company further into a spiral and thus the sale. It was quite the thread on AT back in the day about it.

Moog and I have some. I think Moog shot a doe with one.

Most game cams are 5mp or less native resolution. The rest is interpolation as wooly noted. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Pretty much the standard setter for a regular pic cam. While Reconyx isn't without its share of setbacks - the 600 is a tested machine. I just can't strap that kind of money to a tree for a regular cam - other models will offset the value and give a large % of the performance. Many sub $200 cams can have impressive trigger speed/sensing areas and re-trigger times, such as the Brownings, the Aggressors, and the new Spypoint (but night pics are up in the air).

I have heard of a few people having issues with their SD card, but that's more of a Primos thing. They seem to have more issues with SD cards than any other brand I have come across.

I don't think they have a screw in mount on the back or bottom, right? I can't remember if it did when I had one for a few days.

Also picked up Browning Trail Cameras. PM for deals.

Fare searching is pretty tough because it is one of the most analytical fields in our economy. The algorithms used by these companies are built similar to the ones used by brokerage firms to buy and sell stock before humans can even blink their eye. General rule for buying tickets is well, general. There are sweet spots for each destination for booking out, based on origin. Certain days of the week are better to buy and fly, etc. Problem is, you just need to research. I'd clear your cookies and browsing history often while doing so.

Thanks, all. I now have accounts opened with Spartan and also HME Products - bow holders, hooks, gambrels, etc. Please inquire within, ha! I will spend some time on the website this weekend and get the basic e-commerce platform up. Thanks, Brad

It actually makes him better looking, too. Hasn't left a mark like the 220 has though.

Yes same company...vista outdoors. Owns bushnell tasco and primos amongst others. Time will be off when you swap cards in field unless you have a laptop with you. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

They can be annoying to use - date and time set on SD card rather than buttons. Delay period is long and single photo only. If you need cheap, this works, but that's about it.

Seeing ribs is one thing. Seeing hips, that's another. Sometimes the light summer coat will play tricks, but this looks extensive. With all of the food around, this could be injury or illness related.

What model is the stealth?
