And there are whitetails to kill, soon.

no mulie tag? I'd have blown a wad of $ on any available tag to be advantageous lol.

If something doesn't go awry on a trip, its usually not a memorable one, lol. Congrats to you two on finding success in the face of some challenges. Probably ranks up there with your best hunts I bet, when all said and done.

I am not a huge IPA guy let alone hazy, blah blah blah, but Sloop makes very good beer. I tend to order one at a local gastropub where they always have a Sloop on tap.

Mornings early for me require a key knowledge that a buck is accessible in shooting light. Whether that be some weather event, a crop coming down that delays him getting to bed, etc. AND in a way that we can get to the spot without blowing it out. I am more likely to get up early, glass the fields at sunrise, hopefully find the bucks as they leave the field and make plans for intercepting them in the PM coming back to food. Will be in a tree Saturday PM though in Ohio. Mostly looking for observation.

That is the life of cell cams. I know of three manufacturers who have or are requiring physical cams visits since Aug 1 through end of September. Alot of people are unhappy about it. I would say it has happened more this year than in years past for sure - it's a sign of growth problems. Servers, capacities, infrastructures are getting overwhelmed due to the growth of cell cams. More cell cams sold than regular cams in 2020 for the first time. I have a cam in Ohio that is not sending now due to this, and another that will be dead at the end of Sept, but I am visiting before the update is out, so I have to pull the cam and swap it. The growth rate is just atmospheric.

With all due respect, this is why who you buy from matters. What Rack Attack described is not quite accurate. On one account, you cannot mix different plan levels. You can plan share on fixed pic count plans, but you cannot have one cam on unlimited and two on the 1,000 pic per month plan on the same account for ongoing billing. Tactacam does not allow this. If you absolutely need this, I would suggest to set up a separate account for each plan level you intend to run. in the prior example, you would need two accounts. One to run two cams at 1,000 pics each, and one to run the unlimited. You'll need to login and logout to see each and would not get push notifications for the one not logged in - which will be very annoying. But that is how you do that to control cost. You can plan share. For example, you have three 1,000 pic plans for three cams. You can have cam 1 send 750, cam 2 send 1,250, and cam 3 send 1,000. All will send - sharing the total pic count. Unless something has changed as of yesterday, if you have to add a second (or third or fourth, etc) cam to an account, that cam is set up and charged for the same level as the first cam. You must have all cams on the same account on the same plan level for ongoing billing. I am trying to limit answering Qs for people here as a request from my clients who choose me due to ongoing post sale support. Offering support here for free to the general public has frustrated some of my larger clients - some who are also on this site. I answered this one out of fairness to provide clarity on misinformation being supplied so that someone doesn't get into a false expectation after a purchase. Best of luck.

Nearly every single store we went into. Including Walmart. We bought some there two or three weeks ago.

Bushnell’s first cell cam Isn’t close to 10 years old. In 2011 the only notable cell models were the Covert Gen 1 spec Ops and Moultrie with their external pack which was a failure. The Covert truly being the only standalone in the regular consumer base. I know this because I helped release it. Reconyx had one in their pro line - which was exorbitant and geared to the scientific community. The first Bushnell cell cam was their trophy HD line and that was several years later. That was around 2015.

My suggestions: New formatted SD card - class 10 U1 or U3 in 16-32GB. Lithium AAs Once a day send Ensure firmware is current A few things you describe indicate either mediocre cell service, a bad SD, or low power. Kind of hard to pinpoint but this should be a start to get this cam working for you. Even if cam says full bars or full batteries, I’d encourage you to explore them as options. Those measurements are point in time and not reliable IMO.

I’ve seen it a lot in Ohio. If you were closer I’d offer to pick some up for you. Shipping is a nightmare due to hazmat.

You'd be surprised who my customers are - heads of IT no less, lol. It's less about understanding the tech (although still applicable) and more about staying current with the companies, their tech, the carriers, industry, etc. Since I deal with Browning, I was aware of the firmware scenario and understand why it's not on their site. It's because it doesn't impact all chipsets and SIM profiles. Only the ones impacted. They call in. In the auto industry, it's like a TSB vs a recall. That is a good comp.

There are cams that do this - none have worked well. They do it via blutooth mostly - but range is inhibited on this. And it ends up consuming material power. It's a niche sub market and one that hasn't proven reliable. So I would avoid any right now on the market.

You sir just demonstrated why people buy from me rather than Amazon.

Some cams do OTA but it is risky with cell cams as power cut can brick or kill the camera. Iphones are updated when 80% or more or plugged in - and they're using a constant measured internal battery. Not AAs. Most cams opt not to build that function in because it's a big issue. Users are not savvy to understand this. They just are not.

I have ATT in stock.

Finally the half blind shows up post velvet peel. Thought we might have lost him in the shift. He is heading back to bedding and this cam is not over mineral or bait so, that is a good sign.
-
The middle buck, one pic total, IMO is older, bigger in both body and frame. He's a hoss. I say he is 4.5. The other, 3.5.

More leaf drop than color change, but starting to see a bit of that on trees that always change early.

Good reminder that FB and social media isn't always reality.

LOL Buckland has tons of coyotes. The turkey numbers are dropping there in past few years. Deer too. Lots of building around it going on. But the yotes are still doing fine. Nice Rush bucks. Big ones there.

It's a very sad scenario. I feel for her family. The one thing that always runs through my minds in these scenarios is that there are many other missing person or murder cases that don't get the coverage certain people/stories do. So many others could benefit from that exposure, too. For some reason, certain demographics are more likely to get that coverage, based on generalized perspectives.

Epic adventure. Epic.

Bushnell really hasn’t ever made a great cell cam let alone a good one.

I have a little bit of Lucid and that seems to be on a bit of a upswing. 520 miles...
