  1. I know exactly what you mean. There's that first morning when I walk outside, usually in September, and I say "smells like bow season".
  2. That's freaking hilarious! Wooly, I have the exact same printer as you. I've wanted an AR-10 for a while now, can you email me one? Do I just cut and paste quad rails and such? Suppressors come in a .pdf file though, right? That pic ought to go viral.
  3. Last week I was thinking about how that nice sum that's built up in my checking account would be a significant down payment on a new truck. But nope, I'll be handing it over to taxes instead of stimulating the economy some more. But it's for the children.
  4. I haven't started enjoying it much yet. Work is busiest I've seen it in years - Go economy! Got a weeks vacation planned later this month, but that's starting to look sketchy. Need it though, besides weekends I haven't taken two days off in a row since last November. All work and little play make... Well you know..
  5. I'm still trying to form a consistent opinion without reading the typical news site vitriol. Of course I don't want a bad guy to make an untraceable gun and bring it on an airplane undetected (side note, wouldn't the ammo still be detectable?). However, what we're talking about is a machine tool program. Thousands of lines of code - x,y,z coordinates with interspersed m-codes and g-codes. I know I don't want to see what we type on a computer become illegal. And isn't that really what this is about? I think I'm coming down on the side of the program is legal, sharing it is legal, but make an illegal gun and you're busted (if found out). That would be consistent with if I made an illegal handgun from steel on a Bridgeport in my basement, I'd be busted. Still thinking this through though.
  6. @Bill Schmidt A mechanic that works for us brought this in yesterday and I thought you'd be interested. From the 80's he thought.
  7. A++ on the presentation! You don't do this for a living do ya?
  8. Thanks for the reminder. August 1st today and the archery targets get set up in the back yard where they'll stay until rifle season.
  9. I'm with you on that. I've got a thread going about a tupperware stock I just took off of a savage centerfire. I replaced another plastic one with a thumbhole stock on a Savage 17WSM a couple of years ago in the same color that you just bought. I like the look!
  10. Love the savage - that's on my wishlist! You're a good shopper!
  11. Gotta say, they were pretty good. Thanks again TF!
  12. Val are you located anywhere near Steuben County? I used to troll a lot on Ontario 10-15 years ago. I've got 5 daiwa rods and reels (4 are 1990's vintage). that are collecting dust. I didn't sell them as I still do a little downrigger or planer fishing every great once in a while. I know a couple are fully functional and am 95% sure they all are. They'll need some cleaning up and lurication, but you are welcome to borrow them, for the season if you need to. I'd rather see them make a fisherman operational again than see them collect more dust. I really hate thieves.
  13. I agree, and much better than Axl.
  14. I think TF was suggesting potential locations for said dump.
  15. Lol, no. Took the pic before I started shooting.
  16. Your going to love that saw. I've got an MS310 that I bought somewhere around 200-2001. It just runs and runs. I put a new plug in it about 10 years ago just because I thought I should. Those things are the Toyotas of chainsaws. Looking forward to seeing your next projects! Damn, they're shiny when new!
